Starr's fun time.

Nolan stood up fast and ran to the door, waiting for Starr to be ready with a big smile on his face. "Are you ready?" He asked the girl excitedly. He could feel his heart pounding fast, the excitement was uncontrollable.

Starr ran up next to him, nodding violently. She opened the door, then marched out, leading the way to the clinic. She even started to skipping, though that stopped when she got to the streets. Some people gave them a weird look, and she clung to Nolan, and even hid in his jacket.

Nolan walked normally as he exited the house, maintaining a serious face. He did not think anyone deserved to see his excitement. However, he was enjoying watching Starr happy, so when she hid in his jacket, Nolan put a protective arm around her and started giving dirty looks at everyone who gave his weapon weird ones.

Starr continued to bury her head in him until they made it to the clinic. They walked in the door, and Starr pointed at a adoption photo. The lady at the front desk, who looked like a weird cat lady, escorted them to the adoption center. When Starr saw all of the animals. She ran in, and was soon covered in a bunch of animals, giggling madly.

Nolan stared at them all in awe, he had never been in such a heavenly place. Was this a dream? He could not believe what his eyes showed him. He looked at all the cute dogs before one caught his attention. A small Akita Inu pup whose gaze followed Starr wherever she went. It had its tongue out and breathed fast, it almost looked like it was smiling. "Hey, Twinkle" He called "I think someone likes you." He said motioning to the pup.

Starr looked at Nolan, then at the puppy. It greeted Starr with a small bark, then a lick on Starr's tongue. She made a gross gesture, and started rubbing her tongue frantically. She rolled onto her stomach, and the dog hopped on her back, and fell asleep.

Nolan kneeled next to Starr "Oh my god, it's so cute!" Nolan exclaimed with utter excitement "Can we please take it? Please? Pleaseeeeee~?" He made puppy eyes to her, hopin he would get a yes. Nolan wouldn't usually act so childish, but it's dogs what we're talking about.

Starr looked out, surprised by Nolan's childish outburst. She gave a small nod, and laid her head down on the ground.

Starr: Could you pick him up? Maybe?

Nolan picked the pup up gently and held it on his arms, he gently petted it as the dog stirred. He also smiled down at it as if it was his own newborn baby. "How will you call him?" Nolan asked, curious and expecting some silly childish name as an answer from his weapon.

Starr stared at the dog for a second, then looked up at him.

Starr: Cornelius the third.

Nolan wasn't expecting that name from Starr "Whaaaat...?" He asked confused "Why would you give such a boring name to a cute puppy?" He continued "And... Third?"

Starr: Well, I thought it was cool. . . How about you name it?

Guest

"Well, it's yours." Nolan answered "He'll be staying at your house and you'll be the one taking care of it, so I guess it's only right you choose whatever name you want, I was just not expecting that name from you, you know?" Nolan then proceeded to scratch the back of his head "Besides" he continued "I can't really think of a name at the moment..."

Starr: Okay, Cornelius it is.

She gave a satisfying smile to Nolan, then walked to the front desk. She paid for the puppy, then the two started home. The puppy slept soundly in Nolan's arms, yawning every now and then. They made it home, and Starr ran to the living room, grabbing a bowl, then filling it with water.

Nolan looked down at the puppy on his arms, it was sleeping peacefully. It looked so cute. Then he looked up to see an excited Starr filling a bowl with water "Do you even have dog food...?" Nolan asked, he did not see Starr buying puppy food at any moment, and he had heard before human food wasn't really good when fed to dogs, especially puppies.

Starr: Not yet, but I will pick it up later today.

She sat down on the couch, and placed the water by her feet.

Starr: B-But I was going to go later!

Nolan sat down next to her and laid back on the couch's arm as he watched the small puppy wake up and groggily jump down to where the bowl of water was. It took big gulps of water happily. Nolan then turned to Starr "... You forgot, didn't you?" Nolan said while raising an eyebrow. This girl... What would be of her if I wasn't here...? Nolan thought as he waited for an answer.

Starr:. . . Yeah. . .

Her face started to blush, and she looked away.

Starr: Well, at least we can go together now. . .

"Of course" Nolan answered "But we can't leave Cornelius alone. Do you carry it or does it have to be a strong man's job?" He added cockily before chuckling in a kind of fake, also cocky way.

Starr: I have a scooter, so I don't have to worry about it. And I don't go often, since I get food for about a month at a time.

"Hmmm, that's nice..." Nolan answered, lack of interest noticeable in his voice. He was intently watching the little puppy, it was so fluffy... Suddenly, Nolan jumped from the couch and landed next to the puppy who jumped back in surprise. Nolan proceeded to grab it and play with it while laughing.

Starr giggled at Nolan, watching the two play. She was clapping excitedly while bouncing up and down.

After some minutes, Nolan lied on the floor with the puppy on his chest. They were both breathing heavily and were exhausted "So, when are we going for the dog food?" Nolan spoke between breaths while petting the dog.

Starr: How about we go now, and then we can get some food on the way back.

She got off the couch, and was kneeling next to him. She handed him a bottle of water, smiling.

"Thanks" Nolan said as he took the bottle of water. He uncapped it and finished in less than a minute with a few, large and quite loud gulps. "I agree with your idea, lets go." He continued as he stood up, letting Cornellius go drink some water himself before it came back. Nolan picked it up once again
