Meeting a Kishin

Zane was taking a walk through Death City at night. He didn't usually go on walks, but it's nice to get in some exercise that's less intense than his usual routine. He had his headphones in and was humming along with the music.

Dante was on walking the streets of Death City, looking for a soul to eat. She saw a young man walking alone. "That seems like a good meal...wait..." She saw there was something about his soul that was different. She followed him ,seeing as his soul was peculiar and interesting. Luckily her Madness Suppression was on, and he wouldn't be able to see her kishin soul.

Zane was completely oblivious to his new soul-hungry follower. Normally he would have heard her footsteps, but his hearing was occupied by Linkin Park and Jay-Z. He interlocked his fingers with his hands behind his head, and continued to hum.

"Either that music is too loud or this guy is really stupid." She said. Then she realized, he is a miester. "Crap." She said as her paste quickened walking in front and then ahead of the man. She had to get away, she couldn't take any risks.

Zane suddenly was passed by a girl who looked like she was in a hurry. He looked behind him to see who or what she was running from. He was relieved to see nothing there. Fighting wasn't a priority for him right now, especially since he was unarmed. Nevertheless, he took one of his earphones out and called out to the girl. "Excuse me, do you need help?"

"Uummmmmm..." Was all she could muster. WHAT DO I DO NOW! okay calm down and just act normal. "I am on my way home, after all the streets are dangerous at this time of night." She said smiling, tilting her head to the side letting her long brown hair flow. She calmed down remembering he has no idea she is a kishin... well kishin egg. Thank God for that madness suppression She thought.

Upon getting a closer look at the girl, he noticed how short her skirt was, blushed, and averted his eyes. He cleared his throat. "Can you get home safely?" he asked, concern in his voice.

"Ummmm.... possibly? Normally I'm not out this late." She said. That was lie, she was normally out longer than this, but a miester made things difficult. She then noticed he was blushing at her short skirt. As she giggled she began to say, "I'm wearing shorts silly they just blend in." She said.

"O-Oh... Right, sorry. If you'd like, I could escort you home. I'm a student at the DMWA, so I...erm...thought I'd offer to help you if you need it." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. Was it polite for him to just offer to walk a woman home, or would it be appreciated? He could see her being offended and making the assumption that he thinks she can't handle herself, or she might appreciate the gesture.

She giggled. "Thank you, very much ummm..." She paused for a minute. "I don't believe I got your name." She had hoped he would forget about this afterwards, but there was another part of her, one that liked talking to people without it ending badly for one of them.

He smiled. "My name is Zane," he extended his gloved hand. "Nice to meet you."

She shook his hand with a very firm grip. "Nice to meet you, Zane, I'm-" she stopped. Don't use your actual name. "my name is Zanna." She said, looking around. Does he just head home, or hang out with another human being for a while, then she decided. "How about we eat something first, anywhere you want to go?"

"That is a very pretty name." he smiled again. "I'm not sure where to eat. I'm new to this city, because I only enrolled here very recently." He looked down at the ground with a puzzled expression for a moment. "If it helps narrow our options, I like spicy food."

"okay, how about.... KFC, they have spicy chicken." She suggested. She felt her body flow differently then usual... was she really this anti-social normally? "How does that sounds." She said with a grin. She had not noticed the "I only very recently enrolled" part, which made Zane a lucky man. She dusted off the clock hanging past her skirt. 9:00 not that late, they should be open.

"Sounds great!" he hadn't had KFC in a while. "Do you know the way?"

Dante lead him to the KFC, showing she knew the way. As they got toe front of the line, she ordered 100 boneless chicken, and took 25 ketchup packs. She loved meat, She sat at a table in the corner of the restaurant. There so many people here... so many souls- eh! none of that! a big crowd suddenly dying will make me easier to notice, especially with a member of the DWMA. She sat and waited for Zane, the pile of her giant plate already being eaten, though more slowly then usual.

Zane sat down with a small box of spicy boneless chicken wings. He stared at the mountain of chicken in front of Zanna, and then he laughed. "Hungry?"

"Nah i usually eat this much, I use alot of energy." She said. She clapped her hands and then began eating once she put some ketchup in a bowl. "Hey, when i get to the ammount you have, let's see who can eat the quickest." She couldn't even notice how much she was asking like her old self, she was having so much fun.

He grinned confidently. "Is that a challenge?"

"Yep." Suddenly all of the mountain was down her gullet. She had the exact amount Zane did. " Looser pays. Ready... seeeeet.... GO!" Suddenly both the plate and food was down her throat. She grinned afterwards, looking up to see how Zane was doing.

Zane was shoveling pieces of chicken into his mouth at high speed.

"I win." She said grinning. "Now then, for the bill." She said as she shoved it in Zane's direction. THIS IS GREAT, MAYBE I CAN HANG OUT WITH ZANE AGAIN, MAYBE EVEN- then her thoughts were stopped. She couldn't, he was a miester and she was a kishin egg, she was alone for ever. It was a huge price to pay, but at least she could protect the world. Her face became depressed and she looked at the ground.

After he placed his money on top of the bill, he noticed her sad expression. "What's wrong?" He was having fun with this girl, and she seemed really nice.

"No-nothing." She said. "I'm... I'm gonna go home." She got out of her chair and walked out the door of the KFC. It was beginning to rain, and heavily. Guess it fits... why did I do this? she thought. Her energy was gone and everything seemed to be heavily and gave her a sinking feeling. Even the rain felt heavy, as if trying to crush her like the rest of the world.

He followed and, he did something he normally would not do under any circumstances: He took off his hoodie and held it over her head to keep her dry. The reason he normally wouldn't is because now his bandaged torso was exposed for anyone to see.
