The planning session

Stein sighs, looking back at the bird, who appears to look relieved. "Another day, my friend....another day." With that he follows Asuka up to the Death Room.

Aiko nods. "We'll minimize your time here and start out with the main event first off." Aiko glows, becoming a rifle as tall as Stein, solid gold aside from the white trim. Beneath the barrel there are several grips for a presently unknown reason. Stein grabs hold of her barrel, lifting her off the ground. Sozen glows next, becoming a longword with a pure silver blade and a black hilt. Unspoken communication between the three leads to Stein hooking the hilt of Sozen's sword into the grips underneath Aiko's barrel. Sozen's blades segment along the edge, leaving the core of the blade intact. The segments jut out at a 90 degree angle from the blade, growing and bending, forming a series of squares around the barrel. Vents open up on the barrel under each box of silver metal. Stein aims away into the Death Room and Aiko and Sozen's voices are heard. "Calculating optimal fire pattern..." "Charging primary resonators..." "Resonance rate has exceeding minimal operating standards..." "Resonating amplifiers fully charged. Firing in three." "Two." "One!" The progress of the shot can be seen as it begins leaking from each vent. It touches the silver blades, causing them to glow a blue color. Finally the shot exits the barrel, a large beam that bursts into several hundred smaller beams, all exploding far in the distance, though the shockwave from the explosion washes over the pillar, causing Stein to cover his face as his lab coat whips in the wind behind him. "Regnant Death Blossom..."

Aiko and Sozen both glow, leaping away from Stein's grip and reforming into their human selves. Aiko rubs the back of her head, seemingly in embarrassment. "It tends to have that effect on people..."

Sylas claps lightly. "That was certainly destructive...I'd hate to have to fight against that."

Stein looks at Asuka. "I am good here? I've been waiting to dissect that bird for a long time..."

Stein sighs. "He's probably already escaped...might as well." He walks over to Asuka, offering a hand.

Asuka nodded, transforming into her weapon form; a Romanian kilij. Her long blade hooked at the end and the tip was weighted. She focused her attention on resonating with stein.

Stein readily accepts the resonance, his soul shifting itself to more adequately match with hers. "This is your demonstration, dear Asuka. Lead the way."

Stein waves her around experimentally several times. "There goes my afternoon...Damn, just when I thought I had him..."

Aiko meanwhile has returned to her weapon form, and Sozen is calibrating several dials on the side of the firing chamber.

Stein walks away, giving a short wave to the group. Sozen hefts Aiko. "Would you mind if we showed our abilities with one another?"

Sozen nods, aiming back out into the Death Room. He looks deep in concentration, then fires several shots. The shots curve, unlike a normal shot, and Sozen mentally directs them into the ground. "That is Aiko's normal resonance technique. She allows the shooter to direct where the bullets go."

They switch positions, with Aiko swinging Sozen around lightly. She resonates, causing the blade to grow another five feet and narrow. "Sozen grows in length and decreases in width, allowing for more precise jabs."

Sozen turns back to normal and they both bow. Sylas turns to Asuka. "So...what now?"
