A bit of Business

Aiko waited outside the Academy, slowly strolling around in front of the door. She was leaving soon, but she wanted...needed to see Ayoko once more. Had to make sure.

Ayoko skips up the steps of the academy happily, humming a song she was listening to on her IPod. She then notices Akio standing there and decides to greet her. "Hello!" She chirps, taking off her headphones.

Aiko smiles at her. "Hey...I learned that I'm being reassigned, and I didn't want to leave without talking to you one last time..."

She smiles and asks, "What do you want to talk about?"

Aiko smiles lightly. "I just wanted to talk about you...You seem familiar to me, and I don't know why..."

"Oh.." She says surprise by her answer, "what do you want to know?"

Aiko thinks for a moment. "Can you tell me what you remember about your family?"

"My mom is a weapon like myself and my dad is a doctor, they couldn't have any children so they adopted me. Well, that's what they said anyways."

Aiko nods. "Did....Did they name you? Did they give you their last name?"

"I don't think so...." She says, shrugging "I never got a clear answer from them."

Aiko sighs softly. "Ayoko...this may be a weird question but....can I have a bit of your blood? I'm almost certain you and I are related...somehow, and I need to know for sure."

"Sure, whatever makes you feel better." She says, nodding with agreement.

Aiko steps forward, producing a small tube and a scalpel. He carefully grabs her hand, holding a finger over the tube and making a small cut, causing a few drops to drip into the tube. She then wraps the cut in a band-aid. "I'm sorry for the pain, but...I have to know, and I think you want to know too..."

"It's fine..." She says smiling, "I can't sleep anymore because I think about it to much..."

Aiko shuffled her feet, slightly embarrassed. [color=yellow]"I'll, uh....I'll let you know when I get the results...Thank you."

She nods and walks away, hanging her head down low.

Aiko watches her, sighing. "I hope this works out....for both of us..."
