A Night of Revelry (OPEN)

The Formal had been in full swing for some days, each night reportedly grander than the last. The stairs leading to the ballroom were filled with arriving students, who were dropped off by various means at the streets below. A black limo pulled up to the bottom of the steps. The door swung open, and the first out was Sarah. She ran her hands down her short, pale blue dress, delighting in the waves at the end. Next out was Claire, looking nervous in her sequined silver gown. Claire stopped by the door, holding it open for the other two people in the car, Antonio and Jasmine.

OOC: So, this thread is open, but I would please ask that anyone who wants to join please wait for Lani to post, as it would make more sense since her characters and I are arriving together.

Jasmine stepped out next, her gold dress now fitting her perfectly, the slight now higher than it had been before. She smiled to Claire, taking the shy girl's hand and squeezing it reassuringly. "Everything'll be alright. It'll be fun, and we're all right here with you."

Antonio was last, taking the door from Claire and pulling it closed behind him before dusting off and readjusting his white tuxedo jacket. He looked around, smiling, his piercings all taken out, save one, as he decided that the occasion deserved such. "So, are we waiting on anyone or am I to be your escort this evening, Miss Sarah Farron?"

Claire smiled and gave a quick nod, squeezing her hand back. "I-I know... It'll be fun."

Sarah seemed to be looking around for someone or something. "I'm not sure. I don't know if Ace is going to be here or not..."

ooc: It'll be this color.

ic: Jasmine smiled, reaching over to kiss her on the forehead. "Let's go, then. Shall we?"

Antonio laughed, "I can bring you inside and you can wait for him there. I don't want you outside in case it gets cold."

Claire blushed softly, starting to make her way up the stairs, leading Jazz up with her. She kept to the outer edges of the stair, keeping away from the river of people moving up the center.

Sarah quirked a brow at Tony. "You seem... protective. What, are you my big brother or something?

Jasmine smiled, following the girl's lead and keeping her away from the crowd. "So what do you want to do?"

He shrugged, "Might as well be. Your sister is dating mine."

Claire blushed, looking at the steps. "I-I want... I-I want to dance...with you.."

Sarah watched them head up the stairs, smiling. "Yeah... So, are you and Jazz related?"

Jasmine grinned. "Let's find somewhere then, Angel." She tugged her along, leading her around the crowds of people.

He shrugged, "Not technically. Known her forever, though."

Claire blushed, letting herself get dragged up the stairs and into the ballroom. It was grand, decorate in whites and blacks, with a large windowed roof. Claire looked around, momentarily in awe of the size and scope of the building.

Sarah slowly made her way up the stairs, chatting idly with Tony on the way up. "So it just feels like she's your sister? I guess that makes sense..."

Jasmine laughed, stopping to allow her to look, her own eyes scanning the people in the room.

He shrugged, "It's not like she's ever been interested in guys, especially after..." He stopped speaking, falling silent, looking down.

Claire squeezed her hand again, starting to take slow steps down towards the dance floor.

Sarah rested a hand on his shoulder, brows furrowing. "Since what, Antonio?"

Jasmine smiled and followed her, not saying a word as she looked around, enjoying the relative silence between them.

"Not tonight," he said simply, shaking his head.

Claire stopped on the outer edge of the dance floor, turning towards her and blushing. "I-I've never done a-anything like this before."

Sarah pursed her lips, grabbing Antonio by the arm and pulling him to the side of the stairs. "Yes, tonight."

Jasmine shrugged, sliding her hand around the girl's waist and taking Claire's right hand in her left. "Just follow my lead," she said simply, beginning to move and sway to the music. "Watch my feet." She warned, stepping forward with her left foot, then right with her right.

Antonio rolled his eyes, shaking his head and resisting the urge to run a hand through his hair; he was thankful for the white fedora he'd covered the silver locks with. "I don't want to go bringing up old dirt and depressing people. Not. Tonight, Sarah."

Claire nodded, slowly picking up on the movement, though not without stepping on Jazz's feet a few times. Soon enough she was dancing with her decently enough, cheeks and ears flushed a soft pink.

Sarah studied his eyes for a few moments before letting go of his wrist. "Not tonight... But I won't forget this."

Jasmine giggled, nudging the girl until she tilted her head up. "You get more nervous if you keep looking. Just go with the floor. You know the moves, now."

Antonio nodded, straightening out the sleeve of his jacket. "Let's get inside before people start getting ideas."

Claire nodded, keeping her eyes locked on Jazz's as they danced, her blush deepening some.

Sarah rolled her shoulders, heading up the stairs ahead of Tony.

"Relax," she said, leaning close and nuzzling her cheek. "You keep blushing like that and I'll give you a real reason to blush."

Antonio followed along behind her, pulling his hat off and holding it in front of him as he walked inside.

Claire's eyes went a little wide, her mouth opened to give a retort that wouldn't come, and her blush deepened. She slowly closed her mouth, but kept her eyes locked on Jazz's.

Sarah reached the top of the stairs, taking a few moments to scan the crowd for any sign of Ace.

Jasmine laughed, leaning her forehead against Claire's. "Problems?"

Antonio drifted to the buffet, keeping his eyes on the girls as he did so.

Claire leaned her forehead back against Jazz's, smiling softly. "Y-You're a t-tease..."

Sarah frowned when she didn't find her weapon among the crowd, making her way down to the dance floor and giving Jazz and Claire a smile and a small wave of her fingers.

Jasmine laughed, "Babe, you have no idea." She looked over when she saw the flash of pink hair at her side, waving back with a wide, perfectly innocent smile.

Claire smiled at her sister, though her cheeks still burned. She returned her attention to Jazz, her cheeks now a swath of red, as were her ears. "W-What's that supposed t-to mean?"

Sarah walked over to where drinks were being served, leaning against the bar and not really ordering anything.
