Another joins the ranks of the free. (PG 13, open)

A man sprinted down the lesser used quiet alleyways of death city, he was wearing a masquerade mask and a cloak. He had the soul of a Kishin egg and was chasing two black shapes that seemed to allude him no matter where he went. He was starting to tire, but he was not done running yet by a long shot. He hated long chases like this, he preferred to let Robin take them out. But the younger member was asleep at this time and he did not want to wake him just to get over some cardio.

Finally the black orbs took a wrong turn. They got stuck in a dead end. Alexander raised his sword, a black box appeared on his black. "You done running?" He said huffing and puffing as the two black orbs slowly formed into their true forms. They clutched swords dripping with blood. It was a good thing he had chased them off of their original targets. It would be a fight!

From the rooftops, a masked person was following the chase. The figure and height of the person implied that it was a woman. It was indeed a ninja. She had a scabbard with a ninja sword and some kunais attached to her belt.
Finally when the chase was over and the fight was starting, she used the soul perception ability to check what she was going to fight with. "Three kishin eggs..Probably..One seems to be chasing the two others.." She said to herself. When she was close enough she threw two kunais towards the first creature that was being chased by Alexander. Then she pulled out her sword and jumped from the rooftop directly at the second enemy, performing a beautiful air assassination.

The first Kishin who was preparing to rush forward into Alex and carve him up was very briefly stunned by the unexpected attack. The second one was not able to defend itself in anyway, blood shot up into the air in a spray and soon her blade impaled the soul of the now deceased monster. The first Kishen shrieked in an obnoxious dialect, completely indecipherable as human speech. It turned around as was just about to swing it's many swords at Anna before Alex made his move, he swiftly sprinting forward. He drove his sword directly through it's face mask causing it to wail as a blinding light shone through the mask. The creature burst, leaving a single red soul behind.

Alex was breathing deeply, he looked at the meister in front of him and not wanting to fight he raised his sword before turning it over and dropping it on the ground. There were not many people here hunting Kishin eggs like him who were not with the academy.

"Don't even try your tricks kishin egg!" The young meister said to Alexander. She was pointing her short ninja sword at him, like she was ready to attack him. Of course she noticed that the kishin egg dropped his weapon, however she decided to be careful around him.
"And now, you are going to explain everything. Who are you, why were you chasing those two kishin eggs, why did you help me and why did you surrender." Her voice sounded a bit cold.

"Well I surrendered because I don't kill innocent people, with the business you have going on you definitely qualify." Said Alex. Not raising his hands over his head, he really was not worried about this ninja killing him. He expected to be listened to and he certainly acted like it. "I was chasing them because I had just caught them just in time to keep them from tearing a woman apart. So I was going to make sure they never got the opportunity to do that again. It's what I do...." He said to the much younger girl.

Then he said. ".... How do you know I am a Kishin egg?" In a tone as cold as he had just been addressed.

"Didn't you hear about the unique meister ability called "Soul Perception"? I can see people's souls using it. Because I'm a meister." She replied pointing her weapon to the ground. The girl looked like she believed him. However if Alex was observant enough he would notice that the girl was holding her hand very closely to her kunais. "So you help killing the evil? What's your name Kishin egg?" She asked.

"Nope, the people outside of the academy really do not know much about what goes on inside. I've lived in death city for about a year and I still don't know everything. It's a little soon for names don't you think? You can call me black. It figures meisters would have that, it's probably wayyyy easier to find Kishin eggs with that kind of ability. Why do you ask my name? I know a Kishin egg with half of a heart is rare... Anywhere in the world. But do you really wan't to get any more involved with me?"

"Answer is simple. I want to identify you, to make sure that you are not on the list of the wanted kishin eggs.. Also, I have a feeling that you are not a bad guy. But as I said, it's just a feeling, Mr.black. You've helped me, that's why, maybe? Also, you were trying to kill two other kishin eggs which is not common in our so called world" The girl said with a very calm voice. Everything showed that she is not going to kill him until he shows any hostile signs.

"Well it's not, urg... I don't want to tell you my name in case you kick me in the nuts and run off to go kill me when I sleep because you'l find out where I live. It starts with A, not that anyone would know. I stay very annonimus.. What's your name? That will even things out..." Alexander was not about to tell his name to a meister of the academy dressed up like a ninja just because she asked nicly and was currently not attempting to kill him, he wanted to trust her but could not bring himself to do it. He had to many people counting on him.

"Anna...." She said quietly trying to look him in the eyes. The girl could understand his situation. She also wanted to be careful, to not end up as the kishin egg's meal. But she was not afraid to tell him her name, since she also had her surname. Anna was very young and still was afraid of the kishin eggs.

F*** it, she's young. If Anna had looked closer to his age then he did to Robin's age he would have left. But unless if she took method acting lessons in between her training sessions wit hthe academy he could tell that she was telling the truth.

"....It's Alex then. Don't tell anyone, there is hurting the innocent and then there is self preservation." He said, crossing his arms. He knew he still had his pistol attached to the back of his belt.

Anna finally put her sword back into the scabbard. Her hands went on her hips. But still they were close to her belt where her kunais were located. The witch took a sighed like in a relief. "So, Alex..Explain why are you hunting the kishin eggs? Are you trying to be the good guy? Like those famous witches of Shibusen?" She asked with a very friendly voice. Anna was respecting Alexander more and more. She also started to trust him because she noticed in his eyes that he's not lying to her.

"Yes, yes it's ahh... A lot like that. Becoming a Kishin egg was one of the worst decisions I could have ever made. But, I try to use it in a way that's... Good, for just about everyone involved. Something good, that will actually make a difference in the world. Rather than just, contributing to the insurmountable things that already make the world just awful for some people. Oh and don't toss my name around please, never know who's listening." Alex realized he was probably being paranoid but he had a damn good reason to do so.

"Yes, yes. I won't tell anyone that I've seen Alex the kishin egg." She said a bit irritated by his paranoia. After a while a thought came into her head. "Hey...Perhaps..I could help you? You know..Fighting the evil? It sounds a lot better than working for the DWMA." She said, smiling. However, the smile was covered by her scarf.

Alex had to look away, because he had a grin on his face. He wanted to make sure he did not look emotionally committed for anyone to join. It would make them think they did not need to prove themselves first, which she still needed to do. "I am far from alone, but if you still want to join know that we do not just fight Kishin eggs. Should a man become a monster and no other solution presents itself we, I have killed some people with pure blue souls. We lean towards Kishin, you would not be the youngest to join and it's the easier choice on everyone's mind. Also, your not out of the rabbit hole yet. That was some good technique I saw you use on that Kishin but if you want to join your going to have to prove yourself a little more. We don't want anyone to join that we do not know for sure is capable."

"Sure. But know that my my speciality are stealth kills. The technique I am using was formed by me and is far from being good. It's effective tho. The rule "strike the enemy before he knows about your presence" is my style." She said looking at him. Anna was very interested in joining Alexander. She always wanted to get rid of evil that was destroying her beautiful world. Of course, she knew that he woul want to test her abilities first.

"Hmm, well in that case..." Said Alex thinking before he finally came to a solution. "Find five Kishin eggs tonight and show the full extent of your skill as you kill them. I'll be watching and I'll step in if things turn really bad."

Alex looked down on the ground at the two souls like a recovering alchaholic who had just seen a bottle of gin on the counter. He bent over and picked them up, putting them into a now lightly glowing bag on his belt. "Sound good?"

"Sure. But, I hope, you're not eating those souls." The ninja said as she started to climb up to the roof. Surprisingly she was so quiet that he couldn't hear her moving or climbing.
Anna got to the rooftops very fast and looked around. "Hey, Alex! Come up here, you will have a better view!" She said.

Alexander said nothing about weather or not he was eating the souls. He certainly was not going to right now. It was a filthy taboo in many cases and he absolutely understood if Anna did not want to see him eat the souls. But he did plan on eating them. Once the urge to do so was more ravenous then it was right now. A part of his soul wanted to bite back with a painful comeback and eat the souls he had with him right in her face. But self control won out and he kept his face blank in an effort to keep her from thinking he was holding anything back.

He looked up at Anna as she quickly and silently ascended the wall. He had been training and practicing his free running skills, it was the only way he could keep up with half the Kishin he chased. He bent down in a runners stance and got a good momentum going. He was just about as fast at ascending the building as Anna but he made many grunts and his hand holds could have been heard all the way down on the ground. He hefted himself up and saw a new dimension of the city. Looking over it as it sparkled under the bleeding and horrifically smiling moon he briefly was jealous of Robin and Yui. For the two of them could fly.

Anna looked at him giving him a worried face. "You okay?" She asked.
Suddenly she looked at the moon and smiled. "Yeah...The city looks pretty from here...And the moon...Heh..I wish, I had wings..Or something..But well..I can still watch the city from here. " She said making a few short pauses between the sentences. The meister closed her eyes and focused on activating the soul perception.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." Alex said once the two had started to look around. He began fishing through his pockets. "Well..." He said before he finally found something. It was a small metal and plastic object about half as big as a marble, it stuck to his hands somewhat. "I need to go pick somthing out here right around the corner. Hold this, it's a tracking devise so I can catch back up to you." He waited for her to respond or not respond then said. "Good luck." Before building up from a jog to a run to leap over to another building. From there he would go to a couple more roof tops before eventually making his way down to street level.

Anna took the device and put it into her pocket. The girl sighed. "It's time to get to work, then..." She whispered. The young ninja didn't have to use the soul perception, because she heard the feminine sounding scream. She decided to go there and check what happened. She used soul perception to help find the target. One pure soul. One Kishin. Anna jumped through several roof until she got close enough to see what's going on.

Anna would find a scene that was all too common now days. A woman had been cought outside after dark by a looming monster of a Kishin egg. He seemed to be made out of smoke and had ensnared the chick in a dense green fog. She tried to fight back, to push it away. But the creature opened it's jaws and loomed over her.

Spoiler:

Anna threw two kunais towards the kishin egg. One aimed at its head, the second right in the middle of the monster's body. Surprisingly the second kunai had the string attached to it. Anna was trying to kill the monsters without being seein, however, if something went wrong, she would use the kunai with a string to get advantage

The Kunai would sink directly into his skull, it lodged into the blackened bone easily. However the second Kunai went through his ribs. The string wrapped around five of them and the monster did not suspect a single thing. Rather than being mad at Anna for interrupting his meal the thing was very pleased that a stronger,nastier soul came his way. He tossed the first girl away and slithered forward like a ghostly snake.'looking to wrap the ninja up. It darted towards her at high speeds!
