The Dark Chronicles: Prolouge: Freedom (Possible Gore)

Welcome to the Dark Chronicles! This is a series of threads based around the insane adventures of my character Darkath Mousy. We're going to travel to distant places, do stupid things, and upset some powerful people! Sound fun? Good. So as a general rule, four people can join per thread and player characters can't be killed without member permiission. So as of now we have four slots open. We will follow a posting order based on who joins first. Our first adventure takes place in an asylum outside Dark's home town where he's lived for a month, confined to a room in a strait jacket. Happy adventures!~

Dark sat in his cell, the strait jacket he wore was uncomforable, yet still he grinned. He sat in the corner of the large room, just grinning as a gaurd came in to make their daily check. "You alive in here?" The guard asked, causing Dark to snicker. "No officer, I'm dead. There's blood everywhere and I'm dead. Do I look dead?" He replied, standing up and walking toward the man. "Don't come too close." The gaurd commanded as Dark walked up and leand againt him. "Relax. I only want a hug. What can I do with my arms wrapped?" He said, laughing harder as axe-like blades shot from Dark's lower arms, ripping the jacket. "Never underestimate your opponent." He whispered, retracting the blood soaked blades and letting the officer fall. He tore his strait jacket off and downing the man's soul. Within moments the sirens were going off throughout the asylum. It was a building with large stone walls that were topped with barbed wire. The building was like a huge maze, a maze of which Dark had no idea how to navigate... So he just started running.

A similar event had occurred in another room only a few minutes earlier. A tall albino man had no idea how he got here. There was a note taped to his chest. It said, 'The game is on. Win and you survive, lose, and your soul is mine. Good luck.' He scratched his head, trying to remember what had happened. He didn't get the time to reflect, as the door to the room swung open. The albino was wearing a black pair of boots and pants, a white turtle neck, a white fedora hat, a silver cross, and a black straitjacket, that was modified, and un-secured.

This caused the guard to radio in for help, as he closed the door. "Sigh, just great... Now I have to get violent." He groaned as he got up. He summoned his sword form to his left hand, and touched its point to the door. On the other side of the door, ten guards were preparing to storm in, and restrain the inmate. Right before they could however, blue crystals started to envelop the door. After the last bit was covered, the crystals exploded outwards, hitting all the guards. The albino slowly walked out, having to duck his head to get out of the door. He looked at the downed security, in something akin to pity.

"Sorry about that, the door was in my way. The crystals didn't hit any vital areas, so you will survive. Farewell." He told them, as he rushed down the hallway. The crystals vanished, and returned to the man. He saw someone else running, and decided to try and join them.

John was having a good night as any master thief would, he was given a job by a fence to steal the wardens jeweled necklace. He stood over her unconscious form as he put the necklace into his bag. Just as he was about to leave the alarm was tripped. " SHIT! " He yelled as he started running away on silent shoes. He met up with the pair smirking he said. " You're going the wrong way, I can help you escape if you pay me. " He was clad in leather and his face was covered, his voice sounded like batman if he hadn't taken his daily dose of steroids.

Dark looked to the guys on either side of him, not stopping for a moment. "Well looks like I have company. Do I look like I have money? I'm busting out of an asylum!" He said, laughing with a deranged look in his eyes. He came to a quick stop when he saw a small group of guards up ahead. There were ten in all, two armed with wavelength pistols. "Both of you, pick now. Friend or foe?" He asked, eyeing the guards. "Stop, or we'll shoot!"

The death scythe looked over towards the guards with a bored look on his face.  "Friend" He told the other weapon in a bored monotone, without facing him. He stomped on the ground, and a large wall of blue crystal erupted from the ground and surrounded the trio. The ground beneath them begins to crumble. "Uh oh." Was the intelligent reply to the new situation. The ground beneath them gives way, and they all fall through the floor.

" I accept crediiiiiiiiiiiit! " said john falling down the hole.

Dark landed on his back in a small pile of rubble. "I'm not paying for the damages." He said, holding his head. He glanced around the room. It was a dark and cold room with many boxes and a hard stone floor. "Anyone know where we are...?" He asked, looking at the two and hoping they weren't passed out.

Connor was currently in his sword form in a box next to a pile of ruble. "I am fine, and totally was not responsible for any that whatsoever." Came the slightly muffled reply of the death scythe. Connor phazed out of his sword, onto the box in a sitting position. He pulls out a thermos, unscrews the cap, ans starts to drink it, leaving a heavy sent of root beer behind, and started drinking from it.

" Yeah there are ruins of a crypt or a mass burial. They are fairly expansive and if you go three hundred meters that way and knock down a wall you can escape into the sewers, that hoe I got in. "

Dark examined the two. Not a bad escape team by his standard. "Three hundred meters? Looks like we're going for a walk." He said, brushing a purple hair away from his purple-pink eye. He finished pulling off the strait jacket to reveal his usual attire. "That way, hm? I'm sure we won't be alone for long." He pointed out, grinning excitedly and walking into the unlit path.

" So I want $2,500 to help you in escape and help you evade these traps. " John said.

Dark sighed, looking at the man who kept demadnding money. "If you want money get out of here. I have nothing to give you... Unless you want adventure! I have plenty of that!" He said, noticing the albino guy laughing in a crazed manner. "See? This guy gets it!"

[color=azure]Ah, this guy isn't that smart, is he? One of the voices in his head told him. The albino, still grinning his awful, inhuman grin, turned to face the thief. "I heard kidneys were worth that on the black market, hheheha. So I'll cut you a great deal, that you'd be stupid to try and refuse." The man's tone sending chills through the air. "How's about I trade you your guts, and you help us through this, or I can rip em out of yah and pay you that way? So pick quick, keep em in ya, or I rip them out of your still conscious body?" His grin turning almost demonic as he stared at the man with his evil-looking red eyes. He summoned his sword form, pointing the tip to the man's chest. "Tick tock, tick tock, times running out, give me an answer or you'll never leave this place."

" I wouldn't take another step forward if I was you. " all of the ruins were like a maze, a cleverly calculated clock the with johns trained mine could be his greatest weapon. It just so happened that he had lead them into the middle of the maze, and if the albino man did take one step forward. Then the ground beneath him would give out and he would fall thirty feet into a pit of snakes. or was it spikes? Oh well it'll kill him all the same.

Dark heard the weapon bring it's blade to hand and he instinctively brought a blade to each arm. "Killing eachother won't get us out of here. We have to work together, like a three headed mutant animal thing. One head shows us the way out, one head keeps us alive, and one head keeps the other two seperate!" He said, laughing at his own bad metaphore.

John pointed in a direction and started walking, a while later he came to a stop. Crouching down and raising his hand to tell them to do the same.
