With a good cry, a small, black haired female punched a tree log, ignoring the fresh blood the continued to escape her knuckled upon hours of training. "Gotta...get...STRONGER!" Her scream echo through out the forest that surrounded her, causing several birds to fly away from their position on the tree branches. The power of her punches slowly drained away, weakening the more and more she used up her energy. At some point she felt like she was about to hurl, which was a feeling she was a bit familiar with after her years of training. Though, that didn't stop her from continuing this training, for she had knew it was best to prepare herself.

Lately...dark things have been stirring up, including herself.

At some point, the punches slowly slowed down, followed by stopping. There was just no energy left in her small body; every bit of it was used up already. "I...I need to try and get stronger!" She said with a gruff voice, continuing to huff and puff extremely fast. Her heart was even to the point of beating at a high speed, which was usually not a good sign. It felt like she was going to....EXPLODE.

There was a soft chuckle from somewhere out of her field of vision. "Take it from someone who knows. It doesn't help." The light from the sun was blocked by the silhouette of a man, who knelt beside her. "I don't know if you're trying to do, get stronger, or block out some hurt, but this isn't the way to go about it."

Astonished, and even a bit angered by this man's words, Naomi sprung up instantly, glaring down at him as if she despised every fiber in his body. How could he say such things? She was obviously not venting out any sort of emotional pain, but clearly attempting to grow her ability strength wise. Still, the mere fact such a thought of him thinking the option of her venting out her sorrows was possible, almost made her actually barf.

"No, I want to get stronger, and this is the only way I know how, so leave me alone, moron." She hissed, sending daggers at his body as she glared up at him. As she spoke, her hands curled up into fists, displaying her injuries for the man to see clearly. "Just go."

Sylas chuckled, then moved off the the side, leaning against a tree. There was a brief pause in his actions, and then the tree he had leaned against came tumbling down, cut clean in two. He transformation had been so instantaneous there was no way that she, presently ignoring him, could have seen, or taken note of the fact he was a weapon. "You mean power like that?"

With a roll of her eyes, Naomi continued to punch the tree she was previously training with, choosing to ignore him still. "Yes, that strong. Though, the fact that you don't seem to be one with such strength, I don't truly believe such an action was caused by 100% brute strength." With each and every punch to the tree, a small huff could be heard, leaving Naomi's thine lips quickly. Along with that, sweat drops covered her forehead, moistening her her skin a bit.

Sylas walked over to another tree, tapping the wood a few times, and then, making sure she wasn't looking, cut that one too. "You're right. But it's never just about brute force. You need to know when and where to land the hit, not just how hard to make it. And in fact, sometimes the lighter punch can do the most damage..."

Being slightly intrigued, Naomi stopped and looked up at him with a frown. "That's so? Prove it." With her beady little eyes, she stared at the man, waiting for him to knock down another tree or prove his theory in any way. To her, what he spoke was nothing more than mere bull shit, but for her to speak out those thoughts...well, it wouldn't be wise since she may be proven wrong. So, instead of ranting about how he's filled with nothing more than crap, her electric green orbs forever stared at him and his slow movements.

He walked over to another tree, leaning his back to it. He stared back at her before knocking on an area right in the middle of his back. There was an unnoticeable flash as his weapon part appeared and vanished, and the tree was cut clean in to, falling to be supported by its brothers.

A smirk slowly made an appearance on her face as she saw this, making it a bit clear that she had a thought in her devious little mind. "So, what if you're that strong? I don't need anyone help to gain such strength. And besides, what could you actually teach me." When she spoke, her voice was firm, not shaking for a single second. It was as if she felt he should be afraid or indeterminate by her, not the other way around. Though, these thoughts may have been caused by her lack of knowledge of this person before her. Was he just a random stranger or what?

He shook his head. "That just shows how little you really know. Kind of sad, actually..." He moved, leaning against another tree, but refraining from cutting this one down, staring at her. "I can teach you a lot, actually. More than you think."

Naomi rolls her eyes, clenching her sharp white teeth. "I asked what, not how much." The man before her was beginning to annoy her, more than she could handle. At some point she may even just leave and train somewhere else, before she blows her top anyways.

Faster than she could really keep track off, he launched at her, assisted by a push from forming the handle of his weapon form and launching it back. He stopped inches away from her, an axe blade on his forearm, the edge milimeters from her throat. "First Lesson. Never let your guard down around a stranger. Second Lesson. Expect everything."

Despite not expecting the attack, Naomi had enough reflexes to instantly slid to the right before he could place his weapon inches from where her throat use to be. To her, it was a bit depressing that she could attack back, but it was better that she was able to dodge such a move instead of looking like a complete idiot. "Impressive, I must admit, but not enough to fully grab my attention."

He smirked a bit. "Look behind you." Inches from the back of her head was a spiked point attached to a pole, that came from the middle of his back. It was what he had used to launch himself forward, and it had twisted and turned through the woods, waiting for her to stop moving and then moving into position.

With a chuckle Naomi nodded, showing her bit of respect. "Fine, I guess you got me, weapon." For the female, the task of admitting defeat was quite difficult, so just hearing such words is should be a honor for someone, if they knew her that is. Still, even if it was hard, Naomi does credit people who deserve it.

Everything shattered into shards of light, that then crumbled and vanished into the air. "Don't say that like it's a horrible thing. Can't help what I am." He offered her a hand. "Sylas. Death Scythe and teacher."

He dropped his hand once it became obvious she wasn't going to take it. Were she powerful enough in soul, she would've seen a faint duplicate of the man appear beside him, grinning a little too wide than what should've been possible. "She has fire. I like her. I think I'll kill her last..." Sylas narrowed his eyes, but said nothing to his darker half, focusing his attention on the girl. "So, partnered and training alone, or unpartnered, and just training?"

"Partnered with a wimp." She replied with ease, turning around just to continue to train with the log. In her mind, there was no point in wasting time by talking; it's best to use up every moment she can for the love of getting stronger. "My partner doesn't understand of fact you have to always train. He thinks the academy is just a mere game."

Sylas's mad half leans against her training log, watching her with his same too large grin. "Isn't that what you used to think?" Sylas shakes his head. "It's not a game, but it's not something that requires 110%. Believe me. I've been doing this for a while."

Showing off her lack of respect for the man before her, Naomi spit at a piece of grass before saying, "So you're saying that the goal of trying to save lives shouldn't be taken with 110% effort, because if the answer is yes, then you just lost every bit of respect you just earned from me, weapon."

There was a flash of anger in his eyes, and his other half solidified some, becoming barely visible to her, his voice audible, but only in a soft conversational tone. In turn, he laughed. "Oh, is this little girl really getting under your skin? How pathetic you're becoming. I could almost cry." Sylas's brow furrowed, and he looked at her. "No. Saving lives should be taken at 500%. But that..." He pointed to the academy. "Can only prepare you so much. Until you're out there, fighting, don't listen to anything that doesn't help you get stronger." He slowly started unbuttoning his shirt, showing a large scar very near his heart. "I thought the Academy could prepare me for anything. A sadistic doctor proved me wrong."

"So?! As a weapon, meister, or anything that's willing to devote their lives to save other's souls should know their putting their life on the line every second they risk themself to go on a mission! As a human being, we all know that we're going to die one point or another, so no scar, nor anything will scare me!" At this point, her knuckles were now white, almost to the point where a person could even not recognize it belongs to a living person. "I understand no training will prepare me for what's out there, but in the end, it's the best thing I got to get my skills where it needs to be."

He shakes for a moment with anger, and the rise in his anger his other half became even sharper in appearance, and all the more visible to her. "You don't know anything. You don't know what's out there. Scars shouldn't scare you. He should." He pointed to his other half, finally clearly visible to her, who gave a mocking wave and his too-big smile.
