Stein follows her. "It's not a good idea for you to be alone, especially not when you're injured..."

Stein lays a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I'm the same, Asuka. I'm the same as I was back then. You don't need to worry about me following you like some lost puppy. I'm following you because we're friends."

He wraps an arm around her shoulder. "Good to know you're still the same underneath this new burden of leadership. I'd hate to think you'd changed too much..." He chuckles quietly.

Asuka chuckled, "I hate being in charge. You have to make decisions. I miss the days when I'd just get pointed at something and told to kill it." she grinned morbidly.

Asuka sighed, a light smile on her face as she stepped outside onto the parking lot of the hospital. She was bare-footed, and in a loose hospital gown, but the air felt good against her skin.

Stein and Sozen sit in silence, while Aiko drifts back to sleep.

Sylas bursts into the room early the next morning, panting from having run from the hotel. A sketchbook is held under one of his arms, the other bracing him against the wall.

Asuka was standing, speaking with the nurse who was discharging her from the hospital. She smiled lightly, "Ah, Sylas. I was just getting ready to head back to the hotel. Need something?"
