Aiko stirs, weakly nudging Asuka. "A-Asuka....please....L-Lenore needs you...."

Asuka didn't budge. She wasn't bleeding any more, but the clock next to the bed read that she hadn't moved for half an hour.

Aiko groans, placing her hand on her shoulder. She sent a surge of electricity into Asuka, doing it several consecutive times before moving over, making sure she had a pulse.

Her body jolted with the electricity, but her pulse couldn't be felt.

Aiko groans. "Y-You don't....get....to die....yet" Aiko stradles Asuka's midriff, her hands starting to spark with yellow energy. She puts one hand on her heart and the other on her head. Aiko groans loudly, starting to cry blood. Asuka's heart jumpstarts, and any damage caused by lack of oxygen repairs itself. Aiko collapses to the side, her pulse faint. She closes her eyes. "T-Time...for a nap...."

Asuka's pulse fluttered back to a detectable rate, but there wasn't enough blood in her body to keep her awake, so she remained unconscious.

Sozen enters the room, having felt them both in pain. He says nothing, quickly picking them both up. Several minutes later they're all in the back of an ambulance, and Asuka is being given a blood transfusion.

Asuka's eyes felt heavy, and opening them laborious. She groaned, her head pounding viciously.

Sozen looks down on both of them, worried. He notices Asuka open her eyes. "What happened?" His voice is harsh, no sympathy.

Asuka's heart palpitated, "I tried to stop her, Sozen. I knew it was too much for her.." Her voice was hoarse and labored, "The witch... Charim... I think she has Lenore."

Sozen nods slowly, though he still looks, in simple turns, pissed. They arrive at the hospital, and Aiko is rushed to surgery while Asuka is brought to a room where she is hooked up to a machine to supply her with blood.

Asuka fought to stay awake, concerned for Aiko, but the sedatives and painkillers she was given to make sure she rested were irresistible.

Sozen comes into her room, taking a seat and a deep breath. He was doing his best not to kill the person in the bed beside him.

Asuka was out cold, but under the hospital's fluorescent lights, the gauntness of her features and the fragility of her body seemed striking. Her skin looked bruised underneath, and she seemed suddenly five years older. Her heart monitor would skip beats on occasion, and double them, too.

Sozen watches Asuka. He wanted, he needed answers. There would be hell to pay, that was for sure. Especially if she died.

The the doctor knocked on the door, "We're not finding any record of any living family. Does she have someone who we should keep informed of her condition?"

Sozen raises a hand. "I'm her brother. Keep me informed."

The doctor nodded, "She's stable now, but she lost a lot of blood. Her body shows signs of severe malnutrition, and her body continues to try and go into shock. We're keeping her sedated to minimize additional stress on the body, but I'm not sure what could have happened to her to account for the stress."

The doctor nodded, "And is the other girl your sister also? The one in surgery?"

He nods, sitting up and looking attentive. "Yes. Please, how is she?"

Tht he doctor chuckled, "Someone has a favorite sibling. But she's doing wonderful. Everything went fine. Once she's awake, we'll wheel her in here."
