It's Been a While (Rackie & Lani; Invite)

Nunally looked closely at the meister. Why was he wearing a mask? She scanned his soul again, noticing the sudden change. Apparently, her presence caused such state. "Yes, I am" The hybrid replied with her emotionless voice. It was very easy to notice that she was looking at his unusual soul and was focusing her attention on it.

He looked at her curiously, realizing very quickly that she was using her perception on him. More comfortable in a metaphysical element than a social one, he flashed each of his chakras, in turn, making them visible, briefly, to even the twins.

"Your soul is unique." Nunally told him suddenly. "All I know is that you're a meister. Can you tell me more about your soul?" The hybrid asked Rogue, still staring at his soul. Nature of the A.I that controlled her body probably can't be changed. It tried to collect knowledge and learn as much as it was possible.

"I... it is." He said, stepping back and gesturing for the trio to come inside. Instinctively, Jasmine moved over to flop on his old futon, though there was plenty of other seating, now. Rolling his eyes, Joe took to one of the chairs surrounding Rogue's 'puzzle' table, sliding it out for Nana before taking a seat at another.

"My soul is a very flexible one..." Rogue said, moving over to his computer, feeling more comfortable distancing himself from the strange girl, though eyeing Jazz in annoyance, as she knew that she still got under his skin. She merely smirked. "I trained it using chakras and meditation, and the chakras became part of my soul... that's why you're probably seeing colors everywhere."

The hybrid slowly walked into the room and looked around, scanning the area very carefully, to memorize every little detail of the area. The "puzzle" table caught her interest for a short time before she sat on the chair. "What are these "chakras"?" The clone asked not noticing the annoyance. She looked at the monitor of his computer.

Each of the five visible screens was shut off, including both of his laptops. Rogue paused for a moment, trying to think of a way to explain. Eventually, he simple walked over to the side of the lofted bed, pointing to the chakra poster that hung there. All of it's script was in Kanji, however. "I'm sure you could look it up, if you wished to, but do you want me to try to explain some, myself?"

Nana managed to translate the kanji. Further, analyze indicated that each kanji has more than one meaning. "I've managed to translate it." The hybrid told Rogue with a nod.
"Are you able to hack into my systems?" Nana asked him as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and once more looked at the title of the song that Jasmine had shown her. Deep inside her heart she wanted to listen to the music with her control unit turned off.

"If you'll allow it," he said, a partial lie, as he could manage the task either way. He just prefered to have her approval before he literally broke into her brain.

Nunally looked at Jasmine, then at Joseph, like she was waiting for their approval. Her heart started beating faster. Her eyes flickered strangely and suddenly. "You have my approval." Nana told him. That poor little microchip was finally about to be turned off, just as "the true Nana" wanted.

Rogue nodded simply at this, reaching a hand out, though hesitantly, to guide her to the chair. His gaze was intent on hers, eyes seeing beyond the surface and studying the shifts in her wavelength as she spoke.

Normally, her soul was calm, the same as her non-existent personality. However, the more time she spent in Rogue's room, the more active her soul was becoming. She sat on the chair slowly, looking him right into the eyes.

He held his hand out once more for the phone, angling the screens with his free hand towards the window. His eyes watched, noticing the energy that flowed through her as every second passed. "It'll be okay." He said; by all accounts, if shutting down and overheating didn't harm her, normally, it shouldn't, now.

The hybrid handed him the phone. Her face remained empty, cold, blank, emotionless. However, her soul was waiting for the hacking process to begin with great excitement. It was like, the control unit was able to control her body and mind, but not her soul.

Rogue's attention slowly drew away from her, his focus on the phone before him as he made his way through it's network, hacking the system with one of his laptops. At the other end of the room, Joseph was turning off alerts, setting them to "ignore" as his own device became alerted of the firewall breeches being done by the meister. The process was slow, but it was certainly going by faster than Joe had anticipated, and soon, Rogue was making his way along the Bluetooth signal path to the computer brain.

Nana closed her eyes and focused on what was going on inside her computer. The system detected the intrusion, however, she knew that Joseph and Jasmine want her control unit hacked. So, it meant, that her mission was to make Rogue's job easier. Maybe she didn't have enough privileges to do something about the control unit because it was a separate entity, but she could make the security weaker in the computer itself. Soon Nana disabled most of the security systems in her computer, allowing Rogue to get access to it. However, the biggest challenge was still waiting for them. The control unit had a very good security, so hacking it will be very difficult.

Joseph, however, had already sent Rogue the details that the human part of Nana had earlier provided them. It was simple enough for the assassin to bypass the security, especially with the girl helping him to weaken the systems. "How are you hanging in there, Nunally?"

"Everything is fine. However, my microprocessor is getting warm" Nunally told them with her eyes closed. She wasn't moving her body at all, focusing on the hacking process.
The hybrid still didn't what will happen when they disable her control unit. She used some of her operational memory to analyze one more time every possible scenario. Her soul was showing excitement.

"Is there any way to cool it down?" The meister questioned, knowing that if she had to reboot, he would have to restart the process all over again. Honestly, he wasn't even entirely sure of just how close he was.

"Unluckily, no. However, it is not an issue for now" The hybrid replied.
Suddenly, Nana felt pain in her head. Was that how the control unit was programmed to react to any hacking attempt? Rogue was getting closer and closer to getting inside the control unit's administrator account. With it, they could shut down the device

Rogue detected the shift in her wavelength as the pain shot through her. Narrowing his eyes, he moved faster, his fingers flying across the keyboard as he moved ever closer to the point that he could input the administrative values.

Nana the pain in her head got worse. Why would her creator make such a cruel anti-hacking security system?
He was almost there.

Nunally opened her eyes and looked at Rogue
"The control unit prepares to start the self-destruct sequence. Its going to fry my bain. I've calculated the remaining time. We've got only 6 minutes" The hybrid informed the meister.

"Easy." He said, the yellow chakra at his abdomen flaring as his fingers flew across the keys. "Jazz, I'm going to need you to get some towels, grab some clothes from the spare room, and start running a shower." She nodded, frantic, running off to the back bedroom to do exactly as instructed. Standing, Joseph moved closer, stopping down in front of Nana and taking both of her hands in his own.

"You trust us, right?"

"I was not created to tru-...." Nana wanted to say, however, she stopped, reconsidering her answer. "Yes, I do. The definiton of a word "friend" fits my way of "thinking" about you both" The hybrid replied and closed her eyes again. "The temperature of my CPU is rising drastically. I'm afraid that my body is not durable enough to withstand it for too long" She informed them. Also, the pain was getting worse. The control unity was trying everything to stop the hacking, but it couldn't.

As the last firewall went down, Rogue rapidly made a move to input the crash code, disabling the unit as quickly as he could. Down the hall, Jazz had gotten the shower running, towels and clothes laid out, and she seemed to be frantically searching for the thermometer.

"Nana, just a little longer..."

Nunally started sweating a lot. Her muscles slowly stopped to respond. She knew she was losing consciousness, but she tried to stay awake.

"We don't have much time.." Said Nana who tried to to buy them more time by using her computer to confuse her control unit. The pain got too strong. The hybrid groaned in pain.
