It's Been a While (Rackie & Lani; Invite)

Nana closed her eyes for a second, to switch off her combat training mode. When she opened it she looked at her partners. "Our results are satisfactory. I haven't noticed any serious anomalies." Nunally told them. Her control unit was gathering data, forming conclusions and preparing better aiming algorythms at the same time. During real combat their "team" could give a good fight. The hybrid looked at Joseph. "Joseph, I've noticed a slight change in your wavelenght. My database indicates that you're feeling annoyed. I have found some words of encouragement for you: "Accuracy is not everything. Strenght is important too". My control unit noticed that while Jasmine is slightly more accurate, you are slightly stronger."

Jasmine seemed to freeze the instant that her brother's name was mentioned. Staring at Nana hesitantly, her eyes slowly drifted to Joseph. The other weapon, in turn, seemed to be ready to blow before Nunally had barely spoken. As she did so, however, his temper seemed to die down; it wasn't fully destroyed, but the improvement to his mood was evident. Nodding slowly, he held a hand out as a fist, not recalling that Nana had no idea what a fist bump was. In a slight moment of minor panic, Jasmine stepped forward, bumping her fist against her brother's, showing Nana. Joseph offered the slightest hint of a nervous grin when he realized his error.

The whole scene confused Nana a lot. Mostly because of Jasmine's unusual reactions. The meister seemed to notice that the situation or the atmosphere is very strange . However, they couldn't notice that she noticed because her face remained expressionless. The hybrid searched the web to learn what was going on. She understood the meaning of the so-called fist bump, however, couldn't understand the true reason of the sudden tension. Was is because she said Joseph's name? Something was not right, but Nana couldn't understand what. "Fist bump: An alternative to a high five or handshake." Nana said. It was obviously a definition of the fist bump.

Joseph nodded, lowering his arm and shrugging. Looking away, he moved his focus to the sky while Jasmine smiled apologetically at Nana. She didn't want to explain while Joseph could hear her, what all of the tension had been about.

Nana came to a conclusion that asking about the reason behind the tension is a bad idea. It could make things worse.

"Apparently one of my memory files is corrupted. I can't understand the reason behind the corruption of this file. I've lost the memory from the day of discovering S.U-002 "Ordis". Ordis refuses to send me his memory file from that day." The hybrid told her weapons with her emotionless tone of voice.

The pair looked at her curiously, surprised by this statement. "How corrupted is it?" Joseph asked, curious as to whether or not any of the data could be retrieved.

Nana quickly analyzed the file. Perhaps they could restore some memories from that day
"File corruption: 75%" The hybrid replied. The day when she met Ordis had been the biggest mystery for her. She had no idea what happened back then. However deep in her mind she wanted to know. She wanted to remember again

"What programs do you have on your system?" Joseph asked, thinking that perhaps she might have some way to recover the uncorrupted portions.
Jasmine seemed less useful, having grown to rely on Claire for technological issues, "Can you run a disk clean-up or defragmenter?"

Nana closed her eyes. She had a better idea. The hybrid found a few applications on the web that could help her restore that one memory file. She quickly downloaded and modified them to make them support Nana's file system. The clone send the corrupted file into her phone and started restoring what she could restore. 75% of the file was beyond repair. However, she still could fix the other 25%.
"I've found a few file restore programs. I can restore 25% of the corrupted file. I'm starting the process right now" The clone informed them.

Joseph nodded, though Jasmine was nosey enough to look over her shoulder at the device in her hand, watching the loading screens take up the phone's interface. "Do you have any idea what you might find?"

A pause followed, and before Nana could answer, Joseph asked a question, as well, "Do you only store memory in the computer portion of your brain, or do you have an organic one, as well?"

Nana looked at Jasmine. "It's a memory of the first meeting with..my.."brother"" The clone told the weapon. She wasn't touching the screen of her phone because she controlled everything with her computer.
The hybrid turned to Joseph. It was a very good question. "I store my memories in both my organic and computer brain. However, my memories are controlled by my control unit as well as everything else." She explained.

"Could nothing be found, organically?" He asked, curious at this; what would happen if the computer brain was ever shut off? He was concerned about whether or not she could function solely on her organic systems...

"I'm not sure. The control unit often works as a different entity." Nana replied as she looked at Joseph with her eyes.
After a moment she finished fixing what was left of the corrupted file. She modified it so it could be displayed on the smartphone's screen.

The first scene:
It was from Nana's perspective. She was looking at a strange armor.
"Identify yourself" Nunally requested
"Ai core: Omega." The armor replied.
The screen suddenly went black. Nana started loading another fragment

The second scene:
It looked like a fight with a few bandits in an old looking building. Nana was apparently inside the armor. The armor got hit and then started charging a strong attack on the enemy.
The screen started flickering and the video got very distorted
Omega....My systems are..At critical level." Said Nunally.
The screen went dark once again as Nana prepared another fragment

The third scene:
Nana was standing in front of the armor once again.
"When you collapsed, my computer has lost control over my body. My actions have become unpredictable." Nana said
The hybrid quickly started the next scene

The fourth scene:
Nana and Omega are standing in front of a jeep.
"...-if it is damaged beyond repair then we'll just have to figure out a way to hack your brain." Said the armor
"H-Hack? No, no, no, no. No way! Hacking is a big no!" Nana replied. However, this reply was very strange. Nunally seemed panicked and slightly scared. For the first time, Joseph and Jasmine could experience Nana showing emotions.

The fifth scene:
Nana was still staring at Omega
"You don't have to do this, Omega..You really don't have to do this..I..I think...I even liked my earlier state..I was not able to understand a lot but...Everything was easier.." The hybrid said quietly as she looked away.

The sixth scene:
Omega, Nana and a young looking man entered a nice looking house.
"S.U-002 I'm back!" The man said loudly.
"Why haven't you named her?" Nana asked.
Suddenly someone walked over to them. It was a young boy. He looked 18.
"Welcome home, William" He said "Information: I'm detecting two advanced A.I cores in the area"
Nana stared at the boy, confused. "The second unit is a...boy?"
"Well, why not?" Said Omega

Nunally turned off the screen of her phone and put it back into her pocket.
"Now I understand why that file got corrupted.." The hybrid said with her cold, emotionless tone and expressionless face

"Your... computer was compromised?" He asked, confused, offering to take the phone. Joseph wanted to run a full defragmentation and viral scan. Idly, he wondered if a virus scan on a hybrid would also pick up organic health abnormalities.

Jasmine seemed concerned, kneeling down slightly to look up at Nana. "Are you alright?"

Nana put the phone in Joseph's hand. The hybrid knew that the rest of the corrupted file was lost forever. However, if Joseph wanted to play with the file more, then why not?
Nunally looked at Jasmine and nodded. "Yes Jasmine. I am alright" She replied.
The clone formed a quick explanation for the reason of the file corruption.
"Apparently that day my system got damaged by an unknown accident, which caused the control unit to lose the control over my body. This led to a situation in which, probably, my organic brain, my "human consciousness"- as I'd like to call it, took control over my body. However, I couldn't remain in such state forever, because the control unit restarted the system, rebooted itself and probably corrupted that memory file. Also, I suspect, that the control unit made me "forget" about that day and that file completely."

Jazz nodded, but the concern appeared to be stained on her face, now. Having one brain seemed bad enough, to her; having two that operated so drastically differently seemed like it would be maddening. "Is there any standing damage, besides the corruption?"

Joe, meanwhile, was running full systems diagnostics and checks, making sure there were no errors or unwanted intrusions.

"This one file has been corrupted thus almost completely destroyed. The rest of my database is completely fine, Jasmine" Nunally replied to her question as she decided to run a quick system check on her computer to confirm her words.
The hybrid looked at the phone, Joseph was holding in his hands. Apparently, everything seemed fine. Only that one memory file was damaged/corrupted.

"Do you know how to look for memories in just your organic brain?" He asked, watching the system checks complete and handing the phone back to her.

The hybrid put the phone back into her pocket and looked him right in the eyes. "Yes, however, most of them are suppressed by the control unit, thus I have no access to them." She replied

"And how do you suppress the control unit...?" He asked after a moment of hesitation, unsure of how the question would go over.

"I cannot. The control unit exists to make sure that I won't turn into a dangerous killing machine" Nana replied. However, there was a way to achieve that. Or maybe two ways?
"However..I know two methods that can achieve such results. One works as long as my body is awake. The second depends on of how well the method is executed. The first one: Something has to cause a huge error in the unit's system. Getting hit by an electric charge can cause such error The second one: Hacking into my systems and remotely turning the control unit off. However, it can turn back on after an automatic reboot."

Jasmine looked at her incredulously, "Wouldn't the first fry the unit entirely, if not yourself?"

Nana nodded. "It could. However, there is a slight chance that I would be fine after that. " The hybrid explained. She somehow didn't even want to calculate her chance. The meister just knew that the first method is too dangerous. Of course, if the charge was small enough and was fired directly into the unit she would be completely fine.

Jasmine glanced at Joseph, who immediately stared at her in horror. "Jazz..."

"Better idea?" She asked, glaring, now, ready to fight the opinion.
