Painting the Roses Red[T] [Closed]

Ink was caught off guard, he didn't expect that his soul among all others will just be visible. Ink's soul was a changing multi-colored sphere, it didn't have a set color, it just always moved around. "T-this is my soul!? SO COOL!!!" Ink jumped out of his seat and just stared at it with his eyes full of excitement. He looked around the room to see other people's souls as well. He saw many different kinds and then he turned to look at Rin's.

The noble's soul was a conundrum in and of itself, maintaining the innocent tone of a deep blue, overall. However, purple seemed to revolve around it, orbiting in rings within the sphere as if held by some unknown, gravitational force. In the spaces between was a black void, a sight in which Rin herself was visible, as her soul stretched well outside of her own body, though not so far as to collide with her neighboring classmates. She merely glanced up, taking in the strange appearance of the newcomer's own wavelength and wondering if the multi-coloration was due to his own abilities, or some property of being a sorcerer. Of course, her first assumption was the correct one, as only the purple property was a result of his magical capabilities.

Ink saw Rin's strange soul, he stared at it for a few seconds and then his face lit up with joy. "Rin! Your soul looks so cool!" Ink started jumping up and down in the same place as he admired Rin's soul. "Wait... I wonder what happens if our souls touch..." Ink tilted his head a bit and soon perked up. "Rin what do you think would happen?"

She stepped back from him, face showing clear signs of distress. Rin shook her head, wavelength distorting in her apprehension. "That's not the best idea," Rin explained, put-off by the idea and remembering the feeling of soul rejection. It could be possible for them to sync up, yes, in such a way as to allow for a chain resonance, but the Toromaki had long since learned the consequences and side effects of possessing a unique soul, as she did.

"You're right... But it still looks a lot cooler than mine!" Ink admired his and Rin's soul and started to wonder what would happen if they mixed. Ink decided that he would figure that out later and maybe he could draw it as well. So he started to think about different ways on how they look and how he would even draw it. His head began to spin again and soon rainbow smoke and glitter dust bursted from Ink and soon disappeared to reveal Ink in his cat form.

Rin looked at him curiously, shrinking her soul down so that it snapped into place like an aura that limited to her physical being. Reaching out, she caught the creature as Ink shifted into his familiar's form. Holding him gently, she set the feline on the sorcerer's desk, attention drawn to the teacher as she tried to figure out how the meister was accomplishing the strange Perception ability.

Ink ran around the class room in his cat form, hopping desk to desk, chair to chair and one time head to head. Eventually he reached Rose's desk and soon he remembered that he finished his application. Ink ran over to his desk and grabbed that paper in his mouth and ran over to Rose. He slipped on the paper every now and then due to his short body. But eventually he was able to bring the paper to Rose's desk all filled out and with Ink having a smile on his cat face. "What do you think?"

Crystal took to responding to this, leaning forward and sliding the paper in front of her. Slowly, smiling softly, she read over his sheet, nodding every once in a while. Rose, meanwhile, was working to settle the rest of the class down, hoping to get them calm enough to focus without having to go corporal on the lot. Rin, silent and stoic, stayed where she was, sketching idly at the edges of her papers.

"Rose I can help!" Ink started to run around the classroom, "Let's get some creativity in here!" As Ink runs around the room, he starts to paint some people purple while giving out a little giggle. He skips the people that are already sitting or are helping settling down some other students. Another burst of rainbow smoke and glitter dust from the front of the room burst out revealing Ink in his human form. As soon as the smoke cleared Ink snaps his fingers, binding some students so they could sit down.

Rose's voice caught in her throat as she watched the transferring student run about, curious as he began painting students. Her eyes flashed for a brief moment, a tension rippling through her, as she was unsure of what the boy could possibly be doing. As the spell took effect, however, and the students forcibly lost balance and plopped back into their seats, the teacher settled. Smiling softly, she folded her arms, expression soon turning smug as she focused on the sorcerer, "That helped a lot." She stated, nodding once as a means of thanks.

Rin, meanwhile, had gone from prepping her bandages to attack, if needed, to easing back into a state of calm, the glow that had begun to outline the strips slowly fading back into nothingness.

Ink yawned as an answer and took his seat. "All of you can break that, it's not strong so you can always just break out. But I will always bring it back~." Ink was still a bit tired but he was awake now so that class can resume from their little episode and he would be able to follow. He looked at Rin for awhile and soon looked back at the front of the class, maybe he was embarrassed.

The strange girl said nothing as she set back to her work and sketches alike, alternating between the two as she listened. Rose continued the lesson, taking pauses between some things to resonate with Crystal, the easiest way to amplify her wavelength, and demonstrate various expanse instances of soul perception. Before long, the class came to a close, and she dismissed the majority of the class, requesting, specifically, that Ink and Rin stay behind. Silently, the girl obeyed, bag packed and on her back as she stood in front of the desk, curious but respectfully obedient.

Ink listened to the class until it was time to leave, he was impressed about the times when Rose and Crystal resonated getting more impressed each time. After class was done he looked around until he was told to stay behind, this was very convenient considering that he had no where to go to. So he folded his papers and put them in his pocket and put the pencil in the other. He nodded and walked up to the desk with a smile on his face. "What do you need Rose?"

Rin stood silently, waiting for their instructor to speak. When she did, the girl straightened even further, quiet and obedient. "Since you aren't officially accepted in the school, yet," Rose began, nodding to the sorcerer, "I'm requesting that you stick with Rin, her acting as your escort..."

Ink nods and looks at Rose, "Okay, if that is okay with Rin that is. Then I do not mind!" Ink gives a pleasant smile at Rin with his arm behind his head waiting for a response from Rin.

Rin offered a shrug; she needed to speak with the teacher about procuring an escort for her cousin, as the girl needed to be monitored when her and Ace could not. "I can watch him," she said simply, looking to Ink and smiling softly, "I don't have a class for an hour or two, depending on how long the current session lasts. I can show you around the rest of the city?"

Ink nods at Rin, "That sounds good to me! Plus you might be able to tell me some stuff about the school or something like that!" he soon sticks out his hand, obviously for a handshake. "I hope we can become friends Rin!"

She looked at him curiously, eyes scanning him somewhere beyond the surface level. After a jiffy of a hesitation, she reached out and shook his hand. Rose smiled softly to herself before nodding, "You sent an email saying you had a question to ask in person? What can I help you with, Rin?"

The girl looked to her after a pause, "Would anyone be available to look after someone, in mine and Ace's stead, when needed? Eve, perhaps?" Rose's brow furrowed, but she nodded, "I'll send you her contact information." With that she dismissed them both, allowing them to flee.

Ink skips down the hallway with Rin keeping a pace with hers. "I hope I won't be too much of a bother! So where should we go first?" He was excited, finally being in the school he was told to go to, being accepted into the school and seeing and meeting many different people and things. He even experienced his first class in the DWMA.

Rin, still grossly under-educated on the topic of witches and sorcerers, simply watched him, let him do as he wished as she thought. "Where would you like to go?" She asked, mentally running over the list of places available to them within the city itself, as well as at the Academy. They easily had time to explore the campus grounds, but the city was an entirely different matter.

Ink stops skipping with a sudden stop and turns to Rin, "How about the Art room? I want to see what they have in there!" Ink always wondered what kind of tools artists use, or what kind of paintings were already done. The more he thought about this the more he got excited over it.

She smile softly at him over this, turning her gaze to meet his own. It seemed as though, by this point, that he may very well find a way to jump himself outside of his own skin. Watching him, she nodded down a hallway and proceeded in its direction, turning and guiding him on their way. "I take it that you prefer to paint?"

Ink nods in excitement, "Sure do!" he follows Rin along the hallway while humming to himself. Every now and then he would look through a window to see what was on the other side or would take a glance at Rin and would have the image of her soul in his mind. "Hey Rin, you have an interesting soul. No matter what anyone else says, I personally like it." Ink gives a smile in Rin's direction.

Again, her attention turned from his, pulled from her own thoughts once more and guided back into the chromatic reality that Ink seemed intent on painting. There was a hesitation before her response, a pause that showed she wasn't entirely sure how to respond. "It... yes, I have been told that it is unique." Further silence followed as she thought for how to explain, "I was told it a lot, but I was also told that it was the reason why it was so hard to find a partner. I finally found one, but..." She shrugged for a moment, a gesture that didn't quite suit her even as she did it. "He found me, and not even with the intention of partnering, or seeing anyone at all."

Ink puts his hand on his chin, "Hm. Well, I think it was nice to look at, it was interesting and I want to sketch it one day." Ink had a little blush on his cheeks as he gave a reassuring smile. "Besides, there is nothing to be ashamed of if it is unique, it only makes you even more special than you already are!"
