"Makes sense, I guess," Ana said, shrugging. She didn't have the experience with anything like that to know what it's like.

"Y-Yeah... Besides, I still kind of blame the o-orphanage for my stuttering. It... It's annoying and I can't help it." Luna said and let out a sigh. "I wouldn't be surprised if even you got t-tired of listening to it." She added, smirking.

"No waaaay," Ana droned as she mussed up Luna's hair, resisting the urge to up and hug her. The backpack made that not a good idea in her mind. "Besides, you've been stuttering less recently. You'll be done with it in no time."

Luna blushed and smiled somewhat proudly. "It's mostly thanks to you and my job! I-I have to interact with customers as ba-barista, so I get lots of practice and you give me confidence!" She said, then her smile turned into a wide grin.

"Great, great. Keep it up!" Ana encouraged Luna, giving her a thumbs up, unable to not share in her joy. She then reached over to grab another pretzel.

Luna's cheeks turned pink at the encouragement she'd received. "I... I will... thanks..." She said joyfully. "I wonder how much my magic helped me with the stuttering... Y-You know, when I use magic, I don't stutter at all and... I don't trip over my own legs..."

"No idea," Ana answered her honestly, as she really had no idea how any of that worked. That's what Aurora was for, and that Charlotte chick, though they hadn't actually relied on her for anything yet. "Hey, so, you had any more contact with that invisible girl that we saw in the witch realm?"

"N-No, I haven't. A shame, really... c-considering the past we apparently share." Luna replied honestly. "Uhm, 'apparently' is wrong... We d-do share parts of our past... I-I-I mean, I don't have amnesia anymore, but many things still are really confusing... Especially regarding that girl..." She explained.

"Did she say how we could get in touch? I can't remember..." Ana asked, narrowing her eyes as she nibbled at the pretzel, deep in thought.

"W-Well... I've got her phone number. I-I'm bad with phones... Calling people is scary." Luna said, blushing. It was embarrassing for her, really. She felt that over the phone, any mistakes, stutterings and mispronounciations would be even more noticeable and annoying for the other person in the call.

"Text her then," Ana said, sighing. "Alright, since you've got your new place all ready and all, how about we call Charlotte and see if she's around? Might end up being, like, a big sister or something down the line."

"A-Alright... But I'll put her on a loudspeaker, okay? If she picks up the phone..." Luna said, before handing Ana the pack of pretzels and pulling her phone out. Then, she dialed a number she'd received from Charlotte.

"We'll talk like, you know, you do, with phone calls?" Ana teased, but quieted down when the ringing started.

Charlotte, on the other end, received the call. As you do, when you're called. Picking it up after checking the number and not recognising it, she gave a cheerful greeting. "Charlotte speaking, the one and only, the green, not so mean, sneaking machine. How may I help you?"

Before Charlotte picked up, Luna managed to respond. "You're with me. Th-That's different." She said quietly, but she almost sounded somewhat hurt by that particular tease. Feeling stressed while calling people on the phone is a real issue, damnit.

"He...He... H-Hello..." Luna said and which each new attempt at greeting her face was getting redder. She looked at Ana and then sighed. "Luna here... Do you... Uhm... remember me?" She almost whispered into the microphone

Charlotte was certainly happy about receiving a call from her, recognising the voice from the greeting along; she didn't speak until she was done listening closely to all Luna was saying. Not that it did much help as the greeting is all she heard. "Luna!" she bluffed, figuring that the girl wouldn't have gone straight into what she was calling for. "What would you happen to be calling about? Didja just want to catch up? You aren't in trouble are you?" she fired off questions one after another, her voice going through happy, to understanding to concerned in no time flat.

So Ana spoke up. "Luna's gotten herself a new place, so we figured we'd ask if you were in DC at the moment."

"Miss Tails, that you?" Charlotte also recognised Ana, but went right on to addressing Luna again even before Ana got a chance to confirm. "So you've gotten yourself out of the dorms? That's great! Oh man, I wonder if that's what was eating at Jay today..." Charlotte said, seemingly getting off track in her own head. "Ah, anyway, yeah, I'm in town. Whatcha need?"

Luna clearly got lost in the stream of questions and information she'd just been swarmed with. With the brain-lag still in effect, she started blinking almost uncontrollably. "I... Uhm... What? Who? Y... no... uhm?" Luna clearly couldn't decide what to focus on first with so many things she could ask about or say. Though, one particular statement, in particular, caught her interest. Especially since, while the name seemed familiar, she hadn't really had an opportunity to really interact with that particular person that was mentioned. Luna looked at Ana almost as if she was seeking help in answering all the questions. "Uhm... N... I'm just cu-curious... How have you been? It's been... a while since we last talked. And, uhm... what Jay?" She responded with her own little stream of questions

"Oooh, okay, I'm doing just dandy, everything is going great, yeah. I'm glad you finally called me, though!" Charlotte replied quickly to Luna's first question. "As for Jay... Have you not seen him around? Substitute teacher at the academy, for magic and non-magic users both. Does a magic combat class sometimes, too. I mentioned you, so I thought maybe he heard something along the way. He's my... uncle of sorts, but we're both adoptive and he's like 20 generations back on the family tree or something crazy. He usually doesn't hide that he's a magic user, so it's a toss up whether you'll see him in a suit or in garb."

"Ooooh!" Luna finally realized who Charlotte was talking about. "Y-Yes... I think... I think I see him every n-now and then around the a-academy... I-I've never interacted with him though, b-because I always have classes with Miss Coon..." The wolf witch explained. As for the fact that Charlotte and Jay were from the same family... sorta, at least judging from what Charlotte had said - Luna didn't find anything strange about that fact. "W-Wow... 20 generations sure is a lot..." She commented. "H-Hey, uhm, Charlotte? W-We should definitely meet up sometime. I... I would like to g-get to know you better."

"Yes, I think so too! I'm free for a while, so just let me know," Charlotte agreed readily to the proposition, as it was kind of what she wanted in the first place anyway. 

"Now's a good time as any, no?" Ana said to both Charlotte and Luna.

"W-well, I guess... If y-you don't mind Ana." Luna said, looking over at her partner. She didn't want to admit it, but a part of her wanted to spend that special day just in Ana's presence. On the other hand, nothing prevented her from having Ana stay over for the night.

"Oh, of course I don't mind. We'll have plenty of time to ourselves, anyway," Ana said, ruffling Luna's hair. "Then that's settled. Luna will text you the address."

"Brilliant, I'll be there ASAP. I'll bring some goodies, too!" Charlotte said before hanging up quite suddenly.

As planned, Luna sent Charlotte a text message with both the address and even a nice link to a map application if she needed to use GPS. Luna put her phone back into one of the pockets and took another pretzel out of the pack. They were almost at Luna's new place actually. "She's... energetic... isn't she?" Luna asked Ana.

"Yeah, kinda. Maybe she's just happy? We'll see," Ana said, shrugging. No use dwelling on it. "Anyone else you want around, since we're having others over anyway?"

"I... don't know? Aurora maybe? I-I guess Mark too... T-They've been helping me a lot..." Luna said after a moment of thinking. She didn't want to bother Raccoon and she was almost sure Angela was busy with something. In the meantime, they finally arrived in front of the flat. Luna unlocked the main door to the staircase and walked inside.

"If you want them here, then go ahead," Ana said, following right behind Luna. She'd probably be excited if she hadn't been there before.
