Hello Alice~

Josh cursed the world under the dark night sky and the grinning moon that were at its peak. He was on his way to his lonely bed at home, from a party that was "supposedly" being held in his honor of working in the office for 10 years now. Still, all he had heard from his boss was nothing but complaints and his co-workers didn't even do so much as to talk to hum during the entire evening. He knew that they all just were looking for an excuse to party, but it infuriated him even then. A pair of women hastily passed him by with quite worried expressions. He reeked of alcohol after all, but despite of that fact he took another deep gulp of the strong belly warming liquor to forget all the hard things. He was determined that he would put in his letter if resignation the following morning. "Then let's see how you slackers manage to do without me" He thought comfortingly for himself...

It was a warm feeling of something small hugging him from behind that brought his attention away from all his troubles. When he looked what it was, he saw a twelve year old-ish girl with strikingly white hair that was burying her face into his back. Baffled by the fact that a girl of this age were doing out at this hour, he petted her head a little and asked her in the friendliest tone he could manage at the moment. "What are you doing out this late little miss? Isn't it a bit much don't you think? Where are your parents?"
"Where is Death City?" she asked barely hearable due to the fact that her face still had her face buried in his brown coat.
"Hmm? Are your parents in Death City? That's quite a distance from here ya know... How come you are here on your own? Were you perhaps left behind on a school trip?" Josh asked the girl, grasping for any clues of her at all. But he got nothing; she didn't even make much more of a sound... As nerve wrecking as it was to have a small girl quietly hugging you in the night, Josh couldn't handle the pressure that she somehow were emitting to him.
"Fine, fine... Death City is roughly in that direction" He pointed at a road, leading out of the town to get a reaction from the mysterious twelve year old. He was happy to find that she finally reacted and was looking in the direction that he had given her and wasn't going to let this opportunity go away. "Anyway, what do you say about we go to Mr.Policeman so they can help you out in the morning? I'm sure they'll give you a proper place to sleep for the night and drive you home to your parents in Death City." He carefully took her hand in his and started to lead the girl towards the town police station.
"Mister?" The girl quietly called for Josh. "Hmm? What is it little Miss? Ohh, it's Josh by the way. Nice to meet you." Josh said in a clearly better mood than a few minutes ago. There was a moment of silence whilst they walked, until the girl finally had brought up the courage to talk again. "Thank you for the directions" Josh looked down upon the girl and got to see her face for the first time. Most noticeably he stared at her glowing blood red, dead eyes and the eerie smile that she gave towards him. "And good bye", the girl said.

There was a huge commotion in the town the very next day. Close to the station, the police found a dry, empty husk of a body that in later investigations were identified as Josh Beverly. The police were interviewing the co-workers and staff on the local company that Josh were working at, but were told to last have seen him at the end of the party on his way home. The cause of death was unknown, but the police sent the news to Death City as a warning of a possible new evil had shown itself.

Meanwhile, Alice was humming happily to herself on her way to Death City. It was risky but she knew from one of her visions that on the end of this road, was her place of success.
