Training

Rose loved Kyllic, that was given, but she could only spend so long helping him, so she'd taken to taking a few hour breaks, coming to the training grounds and, well, training. So she stood there, running around and 'fighting' a tree. By the time she was finished, there were at least twenty indents of her fist in the bark of the tree. She stood there, panting.

Beyril happened to be looking for Helmut in the training grounds and noticed Rose. "Rose!" She called, "You're back on your feet!"

Rose looks over at Beyril, giving a short wave. "H-Hey...how're you?"

Beyril smiled, "I'm well enough, I suppose." She looked over at the tree, "Though something tells me you can't say the same..."

Rose shakes her head. "J-Just some....anger management. Nothing to be scared of..." She looks over at the tree, walking to it and leaning against it.

"Anger management?" Beyril asked, taking a few steps toward her so they aren't so far apart, "Is everything okay?"

Rose gives a harsh laugh. "That's a loaded question. In short, no..."

"You can vent to me, if you want. I won't tell anyone." She offered.

Rose sighs. "Long version or short version?"

Beyril shrugged, "Which ever version you feel like telling. I'm all ears."

Rose chuckles harshly again. "Alright, don't blame me if it makes you cry. Here's the story. My boyfriend is in the hospital in a coma, he killed my unborn nephew unintentionally, I feel like an emotional wreck, and to top it off my brother and sister-in-law have left town for the forseeable future..."

Beyril nods slowly, "Wow... That is an awful lot on your plate. Do you have other family? Close friends? If I were in your place, I'd need to find somewhere positive to be. Worrying and stressing doesn't fix things, it just takes a toll on you. None of the problems you're having now are your fault or are within your capability to fix."

Rose shakes her head. "Only other family is my parents, and I don't want them to worry....God, they'd kill Kyllic if they found out....I....I need to be here, Beyril, because I'm Rose. I don't run from things..." She punches the tree, and it splinters, the tree falling behind her.

"I wouldn't call seeking solace running." Beyril mused, "Why did your brother and our sister-in-law leave, if you don't mind me asking? I'm just trying to piece everything together in my head."

She shrugs, leaning against another tree. "They left a note about soul-searching...said they couldn't face the world right now..."

Beyril nodded, "What about friends?"

Rose laughs harshly yet, though her eyes seem full of pain. "I don't have many....any..."

Beyril smiled, "There you are, Helmut! You've been gone for a while." She turned back to Rosé, "Well, it might not be much, but you do have us."

She smiles honestly. "That's....Thank you, Beyril."

Beyril shrugged with a smile, "Every body needs somebody."

Rose takes a step, turning and punching the tree behind it. There is a small flash of red and pink and the tree falls. "I wish my somebody wasn't in a coma..."

"Until then, we can fill in." Beyril smiled.

Rose looks up at the sky. "I just wish I could meet the bastard who did this...Wish he were right in front of me...wish he were one of these trees..."

"Someone did this?" Beyril asked curiously.
