The rebel visits Death City

Pocket: Please, no combat or killing, there can be a squabble, maybe the use of a power or two, but no hard core battle.




There was a small crowd gathering around a small patch of grass, There was a police officer, but why would a group of people be interested in the grass? No, it was what was on said grass, on the patch of grass a fifteen year old girl with black hair and a bright pink highlight DANCING on the grass, now why would this be interesting? Because the grass had a nifty little sign in it that said "don't step on grass", but the girl wasn't just stepping on it skeptical was DANCING on it. The girl looked like the one to that would be looking for trouble, she had ripped jeans, spiked bracelets, and a pink black shirt that had a hand in the shape of a L.

The girl continued to rebelliously do a little jig on the patch of forbidden grass as the police officer tried to get her off, he looked scrawny and very non intimidating, "Ma'am, get Off the grass!"

"Nope" the girl said, sticking out her tongue

"Ma'am get of or else-"

"Or else what? You'll shoot me?"

"*sigh* No, I'll have to use force"

"I'd kick you in the nuts"

The police officer flinched at the last statement, but quickly regained his composure "Ma'am, get Off the grass NOW!!"

"Nnnoooooope~" the girl sang defiantly

The police officer kept his stern voice, but something kept him from actually acting, something in the girl's eyes that made him hesitate, and though he kept shrugging off this feeling, he had a feeling that this girl was more than she appeared, nonhuman, however he shook the thought away from his head and continued his futile verbal battle with the brunette.

A young man with a long white scarf and brown hair stepped out to the front. He had his hands wresting on his belt. Watching the girl dance had been amusing for a nice long while, but Yemi decided that he had had about enough and that me might as well take some side. "Officer, perhaps if you explained to her why the grass cannot be stepped on she would desire more to listen to your request to get off of it. What is it anyway? Private property? City ordinance? Is this something the cops need to be enforcing or is it someone else's job. Going above and beyond the line of duty is commendable certainly, but if someone else should be doing your job then I see no reason for you to continue." The meister said, in his usual calm cool and diplomatic way of going about things.

The scrawny cop looked at him in confusion for a bit, caught by surprise by the newcomers words, but soon he straightened out and cleared his throat "City ordinance, sir, I was sent here because of a call due to a disturbance of the peace, but she will not comply...." His professional stature faltered a bit "I-i was going to use force, but...There's something unsettling about her........Uh, and of course she is a kid, it would be sorta unfair to gang up on a child" the officer said, trying to regain confidence.


Meanwhile, the girl was busy doing the robot on the grass patch.

"You were going to use force!? I'm sorry but does she have a gun in her hand!? Haven't you seen the news if you breathed on the girl wrong your liable to turn death city into another Baltimore! It's a good thing you felt something off when you went to "Use force" I'll solve this problem and if you don't like my solution then you can take it up with me in court." Alexander then untied the jacket from his waist and tossed it onto the ground directly next to the girl. "Dance on the jacket and your legally bullet proof." He told her.

Then he turned to the police officer. "In my learning of municipal ordinances I know that a city ordinance put out by the board are only classed as a misdemeanor if violated to the fullest extent of the law. Unless if she is causing undue harm to the plants put in place by the city then her freedom of expression cannot be undone with force. It would be a violation of the law, a criminal assault violation on your part. A simple street dancer that is not causing trouble or begging for money cannot even be charged with disorderly conduct, officer." Said Yemi, who had studied law as an off hand subject extensively. He adjusted the scarf covering his mouth.

Then without looking to the side at all he leaned in forward and said. "Your vehicle is illegally parked in a designated fire zone during a non emergency, first and foremost you should tend to that." He knew this because as he walked in he saw the cop car parked right on the red line.

Ooc: The cop wouldn't park in the middle of the park, Jac, we walked over to her


The cop scratched the back of his neck "Eh, well, she can express herself, just not on that patch of grass, the park is trying to keep certain parts of the park looking nice, but her rebellious act is completely unnecessary.." the cop responded.

The girl was still dancing on the grass, tossing the jacket around like a ball.

ooc: Damn, should have checked again. My bad.

Yemi did not care about the jacket he could always get a new one, he sat back on a park bench and said. "You know what officer, you should really go and try using force on that girl. After all, bad feelings in a city where murderers, Kishen eggs, monsters, mobsters, witches, and teenage super warriors walk the streets are best forgotten about immediately. Especially if they involve hurting someone for a city ordinance. Go and get her, I'd be impressed." He crossed his legs.

The cop looked stunned by this and then looked at the girl, as if wondering if he should, but then he worked the courage to walk to the grasses edge "Ma'am, please step off the gra-" the officer was cut off when a jacket hit him in the face. The girl laughed at the cop as he pulled the clothing off of his face, which was bright red in anger, "Alright, if you don't get Off of the grass I'll have to escort you off!" He said with authority, to which the girl merely responded to by shaking her butt and him. The cop growled and then took a step towards her, foot on the grass "Ma'am, I'm afraid that I'm going to have to escort you off!". The girl suddenly stopped dancing and smirked at the cop, before muttering something under her breath. The cop looked at her confused as she continued dancing afterwards, but confusion or no confusion he had to get her off the grass.

The cop took another step forward, the toe of his shoe on the grass, he was about to speak again when suddenly he yelped and stumbled backwards, frantically patting himself "AH, AH, THERE'S SOMETHING CRAWLING IN MY UNIFORM!" He exclaimed, the cop shook his pants leg as he continued to do his patting dance, and as he did so, occasionally a brackish grey ant would fall out of the uniform, before suddenly fading. The girl was busy laughing extremely loud at the sceptical.

"The hell?" Yemi murmured under his breath. As he saw the girl attack the police officer with some kind of bugs. He stood up and looked closely as the ants came falling off. Trying to see if they were really hurting the man or just freaking him out. Knowing that he would and might have to act in the former and ladder respectively.

The officer stopped patting after a while, the ants were all gone. The man rolled up his sleeve to see a few little markings that looked like he had been pinched, he didn't really think that normal ant bites looked like that, but hey, they weren't itching so it was ok to a certain extent. The officer glared at the girl who Wa now doing the worm on the grass "I wouldn't do that if I were you, there's some type of weird ants on that grass. Wait. How come you haven't been bitten yet but I have?" He asked, the girl stuck her tongue out while still dancing "Because you're a flibberty jibbit" she answered, making the cop confused and frustrated.

Yemi stepped half of his shoe onto the grass to actually identify weather or not there were weird ants on the grass or weather the dancing chick had supernatural powers over ant kind. It sounded stupid, but if you had been in the business for as long as he had been then you would be on the lookout for people with strange ability's more than ever. He used soul perception to identify her soul.

The girl put her hands up "You want some, too?" She asked in a comically threatening manner, though when he stepped foot on the grass nothing happened, however, when he looked at her soul he'd see a purple colored one, indicating that she was a witch. The girl stopped dancing for a little while, and narrowed her eyes, What is he up to?, she thought.

Yemi stood up and scratched his head. A witch huh? He thought to himself. Wondering for a moment weather or not she attacked her. He decided against it for many reasons.

1. He and his partner just lost all of their souls for killing their witch to early, so he would not be able to keep the soul.
2. Keiko was not around, and without a weapon he did not feel confident taking on a witch. She looked young sure, younger than even him. But he knew witches were a tricky business and she could be older that his great grand father.
3. She was not laying waste to the people of Death City and he had no reason to believe she was violently insane. Did that madness not kick in until a witch became a woman? Something about their magic not being fully unlocked. And as many late night viewings of footloose taught him, dancing was not a crime.

".............." He said, thinking those things.

"You shouldn't use your magic to hurt people. Not when you can dance anywhere else and not make someone mad and have to do their jobs... Mind tossing me that Jacket back? I'll be out fairly late tonight and you know as well as I do that it get's awful cold in the dessert after the sun sets." Yemi stood his ground, he wasn't going to let anyone push him around. He never did. It did not mean he had to be rude or mean, just assertive.

The girl rolled her eyes "A few pinches aren't gonna kill him, geez", the witch put a hand on her hip and pointed to the cop when the man asked for his jacket "And I threw your jacket at that guy, so he probably has it". The cop handed Yemi his jacket, before frowning at the girl, who gave him an innocent grin. The girl then took a lime green lollipop that had a small scorpion in the middle and popped it into her mouth.

Yemi took his jacket and wrapped it around his waist. Why are witches so weird? He thought to himself before he turned around to leave. Not wanting to get in any more trouble or get in a fight. He got the feeling that this was not the last he had seen of this bug witch however.
