First Day of Class; The beginning of boredom (Entry-level classroom, Restricted Access) {DEAD}

Aurora wasn't quite sure what to think when she arrived to the room early, among the first of the students to sit down and pull out her notebook. Her eyes traveled about the room, taking note of the many faces and people, the room itself. The teacher, Stein, hadn't even arrived just yet. This was biology, she remembered, though she glanced at her schedule to verify anyway. Her smile brightened as she found that she was correct, and she began to head her paper with the course name, teacher, date, and her own name, right along the top line.

Johnathan wasn't entirely sure of what to expect in the school. He had lived in one town all his life and never had to do the whole transfer student ordeal. Class should not have started yet, so I can just go in, he thought. After a deep breath to steel himself, he opened the door and walked right on in. The classroom was still relatively empty, so he just took an open seat and waited for class to start.

ic: Aurora's eyes went to the door as it began to open, staring at it excitedly. When she saw another student walk in, followed by a few others, she waved. He didn't seem to notice her, however, and she pouted, but he ended up sitting in the row in front of her. She smiled and leaned over her desk, tapping his shoulder with a bendy pencil. "Hello! I'm Aurora! What's your name?" Her voice was peppy, almost painfully so, but her eyes were bright and her smile friendly.

ic: While getting his notes out, a girl from the row behind him tapped him on the shoulder and introduced herself. he looked up and smiled. "Oh, Hey! My name's Johnathan." His eyes went first to her hair, and then settled on her eyes. "Have you been a student here long?" hope that wasn't weird. How do people deal with being a transfer?

Aurora shook her head, smiling at him as she gathered up her things. "Actually, this is my first class!" She shrugged, "I was... homeschooled before this. Can I sit with you?"

Johnathan laughed. "Sure. And, same with me. I just transferred, and I can understand having your parents teach you. My own father taught me martial arts."

The girl smiled excitedly, grabbing her things and running around the row before plopping down beside him, purple hair bouncing. "You know martial arts?" She caught sight of the orange WEAPON tag on his clothes and grinned, showing him the blue MEISTER tag on her tie. "That's super cool! Do you use any techniques in your weapon form?"

Johnathan's face started to get a little red.Idiot. She isn't asking about that! Johnathan shook his head no. "I have never really tried anything as a weapon...."

Aurora tilted her head, curious. "Why not? You've transformed before, haven't you?"

Johnathan's face grew even redder. "y-yes, but it was years ago. I-i mainly focused on my own martial arts training instead."

Her head tilted even further as he talked, clearly not understanding what the problem was. "What's wrong, Johnny...?" She hesitated, "I... can call you Johnny, right?"

Johnathan smiled again. "I would prefer John if you must, and nothings wrong." Stop blushing you idiot. She'll ask more questions

"Okay... John." She seemed to pout a bit that she couldn't make his name sound cuter. "So... is this your first class? It's biology... I hear the teacher is kinda... funny."

Johnathan continued to grin and put his arms behind his head. "Yep! It is! I haven't heard any rumors, but I mean, He is a Teacher so how bad could he be?"

Aurora shrugged. "I dunno. I only had biology in 'middle school' and its supposed to be a lot easier then, right?" She looked around; the class was almost full and they only had a few minutes left. The teacher still hadn't arrived. "It'd be even harder here, too, wouldn't it? What with souls and everything being included..."

"I keep forgetting about those. And I'll have to eat them to get stronger" Johnathan frowned. "I always preferred more tangible methods of improving"

Aurora laughed, "I don't imagine souls are very tasty..."

Johnathan stuck out his tongue. "iick. Never thought about that."

The girl laughed and was just about to say something when someone attempted to roll into the classroom on a rolling chair. One of the wheels caught on the floor, however, and he tumbled to the floor, immediately adjusting a large screw in his head. "Well... that still hasn't been fixed." He looked up at the class, most of which didn't seem to notice anything unusual, but Aurora was stunned, staring. "So. We have new students. Aurora Boyd. Johnathon Steele. Please stand up so that your classmates may recognize you." Aurora nodded slowly, standing and turning around, waving at the class happily, though still nervous.

Johnathan stood as well and gave a half-salute, half-wave before immediately sitting down. This the teacher? seems a little ditsy

"Now... shall we begin?" The teacher pulled himself off the chair, setting it upright and pushing it behind the desk before writing on the board. "Since it's spring time, we have far more creatures to choose from-"

"Can we not dissect today?"

Aurora flinched at the word, eyes going wide. Stein turned around, staring at the student in question. "What's so bad about dissections?" She flinched again, looking down, fiddling with her skirt.

Johnathan lean in to Aurora. " You Ok?" he whispered.

She shook her head, looking down as Stein ignored the students' objections and went on about the various animals that came out in the spring. He was talking about breeding seasons and how there were squirrels and rabbits around when she finally bit into her lip and tried to keep herself from crying, though she wouldn't say a word.

Johnathan my not be the best at reading people's emotions, but even he could tell the class was bothering her tremendously. He stood. "uh, Professor.... Stein was it? Aurora Doesn't seem to be feeling well. May I escort her to the Nurse?" Hope this works....

Stein looked up, eyes moving between the weapon and meister before he smirked slowly and nodded, waving them off. "Do whatever you need to." He continued to ramble about his lesson, not even paying attention to Aurora as she gathered up her things.
