No One Told Us Not To Sooo... We Can, Right?! (Candy/Auro Partnership; Monster Hunt; Rated E; Invite)

It had been a couple of months since the hyperactive pair had partnered up, and they had found themselves to have made surprisingly little headway, as far as figuring out just what Candy had become. Between their general lack of combat, outside of their training sessions, and the fact that they had been in Aurora's room when Candy had consumed the soul, it appeared to be that Death had apparently not yet noticed the fact that Candace had changed, or, at least, that's how it seemed. Still, they had done what they could to try to figure out what Candy was, and had come away with, surprisingly, nothing. As a result, they settled on the agreement to just proceed with monster, rather than kishin egg, hunting, as the new soul seemed to offer a different venture than either of them had ever seen before. As such, Aurora had set about using the library's computers to track down monster sightings, while Candy spent her days reading endlessly.

"Auroraaaaaaa, I'm boooooooored!" Candy whined at the little witch, as she stared over her shoulder at the screen of the computer. She was shushed by some people near the pair, but it didn't really affect her. She was used to it. The massive pile of books on the nearest table was testament to that fact, and most of them were placed on their front covers; a sigh Candy used to show that she was finished with the book, to herself. She'd forget otherwise. She found nothing in the libraries books about what the pain, which still sometimes made her flinch, just from thinking about it, or the spikes that she could use. It was really annoying to see nothing on it, in the whole library. She just wanted to go do something at this point. "Lets go somewhere! Do something! Aaaaaagh!" She dramatically slid to the floor, leaning her back against the back of Aurora's chair's legs.

Aurora glanced back at her, her current search yielding several strange sightings in the Montana mountains about some kind of creature. She was hopeful, and with her flying capabilities, it would, in theory, be fairly easy to reach the destination. Worse come to worse, Candy's weapon form was small enough to be held in Aurora's familiar's mouth. "Do you want to go on a hunt?" The witch asked, reading into the details of the incidents, slowly uncovering that the creature was suspected of being a Wendigo.

Candy almost instantly shot up off of the ground. The promise of something at all was too good to pass up. The girl grabbed Aurora's chair and started dragging both the girl and it out of the library. She didn't say anything, but knew that Aurora knew what such a reaction meant, at this point. Not that it would have bothered Candy if the other girl didn't.

Aurora merely settled in the chair, picking her feet up into it and giggling silently to herself. The looks they received from others only served to make the situation seem even more comical, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to contain herself the longer things went on. By the time Candy stopped, Auro was practically in tears.

Candy started laughing at some point between the library and the academy stairs. Not because of the absurdity of the situation, but because Aurora was laughing, too. She would have continued with the chair if the stairs weren't there. "How do we get to the place that we need to get, because I don't have an idea about either of those things? What are we even hunting?" She asked questions after she calmed down from her laughter.

"Well, I was trying to figure that out," Aurora said, slowly easing out of the chair and trying to regain use of her legs and balance; her equilibrium wasn't very happy with her, at the moment. "I think we have permission to use the airport with our student IDs, but we can't get to the exact place that we need, like that. Anyway, the thing is a wendigo. It's a cannabil spirit monster thing. It's really fast and can mimic voices perfectly."

Candy listened to the explanation before starting down the stairs. She abandoned the chair at the top, so that anyone that wanted to could take it to the library, or somewhere inside, anyway. "That sounds like fun." She said that, but she didn't really get how a cannibal creature that isn't human would attack humans.

"They're really strange," she said, reaching to cling to Candy's sleeve while she searched the internet on her phone. "It seems that they work kind of like werewolves and such, where the basic creature starts out as a human, but the corruption they undergo is enough to change them even down to their soul." Aurora kept reading, spouting off different location sightings, but for the most part not actually providing any insight into what the beasts were or how to deal with them; as it appeared, she just simply hadn't caught onto the fact that she was still reading aloud.

Candy listened closely to Aurora's explanation, and then to her further, less important information. She listened as if it was just as important as anything else, however, since her meister was saying it. "So how do we get to it?" She asked, after a while, since that was a point Aurora hadn't covered.

"We can go to the airport, first." She said, pausing halfway down the stairs and glancing up towards the dorms. "We might want to pack, though." The seriousness was gone as quickly as it came, however, and she just grinned, "Have you ever been on a plane?!"

"Yes, I came here from England." She said, simply, nonchalantly, pointing in the direction that her home country lay, over the ocean. "It was boring. Very boring. It took a day. I thought I was going to die, it was so boring." She reiterated her point plenty, since it was very boring.

Aurora laughed at this; of course sitting still would bore the hyperactive weapon. It bored her, as well, once she got over the fear and shaking and...

She shook her head, suddenly, chills ricocheting off her nerve-endings. Dismissing the memories, she shrugged. "Think you can handle a few hours?"

"I'll be fine..." Candy said, somewhat somberly, even though it wasn't something most people worried about. It would be fine if she wasn't confined with seatbelts, but that was necessary to not die in an emergency. Not that long falls were a problem for the bouncy ball weapon, who could transform and fall for miles without injury, or the little witch who was her meister; she could turn into a glider hamster.

"Will the other passengers?" She asked, her tone teasing even as she began leading her back to the Academy so that they could at least grab syru- clothes.

"Yeah, they aren't crazy, like us, so they won't die of boredom." Candy followed Aurora, thinking of what sorts of clothes to bring; colourful light ones, or colourful darker ones? It was a hard choice, but she made up her mind just in time to know what to pack.

Quickly distracted, Aurora all but dive-bombed under her bed, kicking out her suitcase and snatching a nearly drained bottle of syrup. Not paying attention to much else, she began downing what was left of the contents, tossing the bottle in the trash before proceeding to actually be productive.

Ignoring Aurora's guzzling of syrup, Candy went straight to packing. Pulling out a, surprise, colourful suitcase from under the bed she had occupied after the incident with the monster soul, she began neatly packing clothes from the normal places. It was probably weird how such a hyper person could stand to sit and read, or take their time packing, while being unable to bare the thought of being on an aeroplane for a couple of hours.

Aurora's attention soon returned to the task at hand, her hands flying through drawers and shelves, packing her clothes haphazardly. Her eyes seemed to be darting, as unfocused as the rest of her while her mind began running through everything she had managed to find, thusfar, that would be relevant to the mission at hand.

Candy was finished with her packing before Aurora was done with hers; she then started to go through Aurora's case, neatly folding the things, so that Aurora would actually be able to find anything. She didn't care if Aurora did or did not want her in her things.

At a certain point, Aurora stopped noticing the world around her, still throwing odds and ends at her case. By the time she turned around, Candy was all but covered in socks, shirts, and various underclothes. Blushing softly, she dismissed herself to pull her things out of the common bathroom.

Candy finished neatening Aurora's case, as well as picking the girl's stuff off of herself. Having packed everything she needed herself, before, she simply waited for Aurora to be done, by the door.

Aurora arrived shortly, holding a bundle of mismatched, travel sized containers that had been haphazardly filled with toiletries. Setting them down, she began to feed them into the exterior pouch of her suitcase, smiling graciously towards her partner. "Are you ready?" She asked.

Candy gave a single not, with a smile, leaving through the open door. "To the airport!" She said, as she started to make her way away from the room.

Aurora laughed, closing and securing her suitcase before following along behind her, retracing their path out of the Academy and heading to Death City's personal airport. Once there, they slid through the Shibusen's students' side, taking the first plane out towards Montana.
