"Whatever you say," he finished with a shrug, resigning back to silence as he led her to the nearest ice cream parlor. Idly, he wondered if she favored sherbet just because of the colors, but Candy was known for surprises. Stepping up to the counter, he ordered himself what essentially turned into a smoothie, what with the froyo, and gestured for her to order as well.

Candy got a large cone with three scoops; strawberry, mint and blueberry. It wasn't the usual choice, but she felt like messing with Rogue a little; even if it wouldn't seem like she was messing around. It was just like her to base her choices off of colours, of course.

His smirk hidden, he paid for their order, nodding for her to pick a seat; he'd bring the ice cream over. Minutes later, he rejoined her, an extra cup around his smoothie and a stack of napkins and a sppon in hand. Leaving the napkins between them, he handed her the spare cup, spoon, and her ice cream. Taking the straw, he fed it through the bottom of his mask, sipping silently, eyes dancing in playful amusement at her from across the table.

Candy dug into her ice cream with the spoon, slowly taking bites in between returning Rogue's glances and somewhat involuntarily smiling at how funny he looked with the straw under his mask. She thought about how this was actually a lot like what a date would be, going slightly red in the cheeks as a result. She didn't bother trying to clear the thought from her mind; the tint would be easily visible against her rather pale skin, anyway.

His mask worked far to much to his advantage, and he knew it, but he had no intentions of losing it. Chuckling, he reached across and made like he was trying to rub something off his cheek before mock sighing and shaking his head in defeat. "How'd you get so much strawberry on your face?"

"That's a poor joke." Candy said, thought maybe not with conviction, as her smile grew visibly after it was told.

He shrugged, "I save jokes for Tony. I just try at cheap tricks. Socializing is not my forte." Rogue's eyes continued to dance, though he'd resumed sipping from his preciously abandoned straw.

"Can't say I'm great at it either." Candy said, getting back to picking at her ice cream. Presently wondering whether it'd have messed with Rogue more to have gotten three scoops of vanilla with all of the most dull toppings she could find, she was looking off to the side into space, slowly eating the colour-matched ice cream.

In silence, he continued to sip, behaving gently, far calmer after his meditations and exercises than he normally would be. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do afterwards, however.

Candy finished with the rest of the ice cream in relative silence, at least where it came to speaking. She did hum for a little bit, looking around the room and also glancing at Rogue; half to see whether he was finished and half because that's where she wanted to look. It'd be awkward to just stare, though, right?

Rogue finished far slowly than he should have, and they knee it, but he worked the straw back through in time. Smiling behind the mask, he took their trash and tossed it out before nodding to the door. "Shall we?"

Candy nodded and stood up from her seat, smiling also. "Skating, wasn't it?" She asked, heading towards the door, though waiting for Rogue to leave first and lead the way once more.

A light chuckle, barely noticeable, followed. "If you want to. Don't blame me when your skirt goes flying. I warned you." Blatantly, he looked her up and down once more, eyes dancing. "Not that there'd be a complaint, but sharing wouldn't be my ideal in that situation."

She blushed a little again, cheeks once again tinged a light pink. "You can punch anyone who's obviously staring, Mr.Gentleman." She said, then looked very much like she had some sort of minour epiphany. "Issue. I don't actually have anything to skate on, here. 'Here' being America."

"Roller rink," he said simply, side glancing her, "Indoor skating."

"Be better if I had my own skates, though. Oh well, doesn't matter." She said, idly waiting for Rogue to get them on their way.

"And I'd be better in a man hunt, but I don't think you wanna see me like that." Laughing, he turned a corner, continuing to lead them on their way. "So, was it date night again?"

"How'd you guess?" She said, feigning amazement for just a moment. "Yeah, Aurora left her phone unlocked, and being nosy, I looked. Saw plans, so I made plans of my own. And here we are."

"Plans?" He inquired, "You make it out like you planned out your own date night," he teased. "And I don't see anyone else here."

That was sort of the plan, she thought, though shook her head at the notion, even if it was exactly on the money. "Plans to make sure that I wasn't sitting alone all day, reading. They didn't extend much further past calling you over, since I had no idea if you would stay."

He glanced at her, moving to walk backwards in front of her, eyes keen on her own. "Oh? You stole my number and called me over 'urgently' for ice cream, but didn't plan a date?"

"I wanted to make sure you'd at least turn up..." She said rather quietly, looking away form him. She was blushing again, too, adding to the crumbling of her facade.

He leaned forward, bent at the middle as he walked. The assassin was at eye level with her, now, gaze following hers as she tried to hide from his. "Why wouldn't I, hmmm?"

"I don't know..." Candy's reply was quieter than event he last, though maybe only because she was not focusing quite heavily on her shoes, her hair mostly hiding her face, the cheeks of which were getting redder by the minute.

He raised a brow, bending further and looking up at her. "I can still see you. You trying to leave some kind of trap for me or something? Should I be worried?"
