Wedding Day (Everyone's Invited!)

She smiled down at her parents, who were teary eyed.

Sylas smiles at his parents, who smile back. Rose comes up behind him and higs him, smiling at Dowan. "Congratulations you two...."

"Thanks." She says brightly, as Kyllic kisses her on the cheek. "Should we get going?"

Sylas nods, carrying her to the reception, where a finely sculpted statue of her sits in the middle. Sylas smiles. "That's my surprise for you...."

Dowan gasped, "It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful." She kisses him lovingly.

He chuckles. "One of the advantages of being a weapon is that I can use my weapon bits to make beautiful things likes that..."

"I love it." She whispers, leaping out of his arms, and bouncing happily. "Let's get this party started."

Sylas nods, carrying her to the head table and setting her in one of the two center chairs. "I love you..."

"I love you too, baby." She reaches up to kiss him lightly, waiting for him to sit down with her.

Sylas sits next to her, grinning like an idiot. "I can't believe it's finally here. What will life be like now?"

"Life is always an adventure with you." She said quietly. Standing up, she tapped her glass lightly. "I'd like to say a few words. First, today is my seventeenth birthday, and what a great day its been. I'm so very happy to be married to my wonderful, amazing weapon. He was already my soulmate for life, and we decided, to make our parents more at ease, we decided to get married." Looking at Sylas and then back to the crowd, "I love him with everything in me. I want him by my side always. Forever. If he goes I go. I'm in this for life, and knowing us, we don't go down with a fight. I will cherish you, respect you, love you and take care of you. Always." Her eyes became blurry, "I will be the greatest wife and partner for you ever. You are my world, nothing will ever change that. Thank you." She sits down, blushing lightly.

Sylas, somewhat teary eyed, stands and taps his glass as well. He looks out over the crowd. "I'd, uh, like to say a few words as well. I don't know how to follow that, Dowan, so thanks for that..." The crowd chuckles lightly and Sylas clears his throat. "As, uh, some of you know, I'm not precisely normal....Then again, who is, given where and what we are." Another chuckle. "And I know I'm a weapon, but I promise, I'll protect you with all my strength. If we do go down, which I'll do my best to make sure we don't, I'd gladly go down first if it meant saving you...."

Dowan chuckles, blowing a kiss his way, letting him figure out the rest of what he wanted to say.

Sylas clears his throat again, looking over at her. "That said...I promise to be yours forever, to....Well, I guess the vows kind of said this for me...Point is, I love you more than I've ever loved another person...."

Dowan stands up, pulling him into a kiss, "And I, you." She whispered huskily.

Sylas pulls her into a hug. "I love you so much, Dowan...."

Dowan giggled, "I love you more." Pulling away, she asked, "Does anyone else have a few words?"

Rose stands. "Dowan, I just want to say how utterly sorry I am that you have to spend the rest of your life with my older brother. All kidding aside, I'm happy for you two. But seriously...."

Kyllic stood up as well, "I've seen these two fight battles greater than their own strength. They've seen things and they've been through thick and thin. I believe that they have the power to tackle a thing like marriage. They were made for it."

Sylas looks over at Dowan, smiling. "You're beautiful, Dowan...Absolutely beautiful..."

Dowan blushes slightly, "Should we begin the first dance?"

Sylas stands, offering a hand. "Yes, I think we should...."

She lets him pull her to the dance floor, and let's him pull them together. It was magical, and she had never been more in love with him. She was officially Mrs. Dowan Hammer. Her eyes shined bright with tears.

Sylas smiles, resting his head beside hers. "Tell me those are tears of joy...."

"Of course they are." She smiles, "I'm just reveling in how much in love you with you I am. How happy I am to be yours."
