Finding a Reason (Private, Lani Obliv, Mature)

Claire bit the inside of her cheek, but smiled and nodding, moving to a free chair and slumping down into it. "Are you sure? I don't mind helping..."

"I've got it," she said, though she jumped when there was a knock at the door. "Claire, you might want to get that though."

Claire nodded, heading over to the door and opening it, for once not bothering to look at who was outside.

Antonio was grinning, bags under his arms and in his hands, dressed to the nines in the cheapest version of a butler or waiter outfit that he could manage. "Hey ya. Mine letting me in?" He shot her a wink, though he shook his head as he watched Jasmine attempt to make a pillow fort with the few things she had.

Claire grinned wide at Tony, opening the door to let him in. She shot Jazz a look that seemed to say 'I'd make out with you right now if we were alone', and also 'Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you'. She turned to Tony, not realizing immediately that her cheeks had become a rosy shade of pink. "Would you like some help?"

The girl laughed, almost snorting in the process as she shook her head and continued. Antonio's head moved slowly, shaking as he nodded inside. "Nope. Go sit down, pretty little thing." He walked in, set everything down by the kitchen, and headed back outside for a few more things.

Claire looked to Jazz after Tony had left. "He was who you called?" Her blush darkened to a red. "Jazzy... I could never h-have asked for a better girlfriend..."

Jasmine looked over at her, her smile tender. "Who else would I ask? You wanted pasta and he's one of the people that's common company for us both." She shrugged, lining pillows against the chairs she'd set up.

Claire slid back into her chair, watching Jazz with an expression that conveyed obvious joy and affection, and possibly something deeper. Something even she didn't know was in her gaze.

Antonio returned a few minutes later, tossing blankets in from over his shoulder, bags lined up on his arm and a box in hand. He set the rest of his things down, opening the box and setting up a queen-sized air mattress on the floor. Jasmine shook her head, grinning from ear to ear.

Claire watched with childlike delight as the mattress inflated. She stood slowly, sneaking up behind Jazz and wrapping her arms around her, whispering softly in her ear. "Can I keep you?"

Jasmine laughed aloud, looking back at her with a smile, "That's the hope." She said, looking at her happily.

Claire leaned a bit closer, taking a moment to plant a brief peck on her lips before pulling back, cheeks darkening as blood flowed into them.

Jasmine shook her head, pulling sheets over the mattress once it was done while Tony returned to the kitchen, setting everything up to cook. It didn't take much longer for the pillow fort to be made, and it was a damn fancy one at that. Strangely, Jazz was most impressed with the fact that it all matched rather than its actual construction.

Claire giggled a bit, looking over the fort, then over to Jazz. "Can we go in?" She asked as though she already knew the answer, but wanted permission before she did so.

Her eyes rolled. "Get yourself comfy, babe." She stuck her tongue out at her before going over to one of the bags and pulling out a couple of movies, she unwrapped them both, tossing the plastic into the now-empty bag, and set about working the dvd player.

Claire slid into the fort, turning herself onto her stomach and watching Jazz mess around with the DVD player. She could smell the beginnings of food from the kitchen, but still she focused her eyes on her girlfriend, entranced.

She had the movie in and ready quickly, and looked back at the girl with a smile, sending her a quick wink. Jasmine made her way to the light switch, turning on the main room's light and leaving Tony to his work; she'd learned long ago not to interfere when he was working in the kitchen.

Claire patted the spot beside her in the fort, eager to curl up beside her girlfriend and watch a move. For the time being, she forgot the essentially revealing clothes she was in, focusing more on the comfort of have someone beside her.

Jasmine smiled at her, grabbing the remotes and sliding in beside her, propping up a couple of pillows for them both. "So, when do you want to eat? Before, after, or during the movie?"

Claire laid an arm over Jazz's back, moving a bit closer to her. She propped her head up with her other hand, resting her elbow on the pillow. She offered Jazz a smile and a quick peck on the cheek. "I can wait until after the movie... Right now I just want to sit here, with you..."

Lani: "It's a two-part movie." Jasmine pointed out, smiling back at her. "You sure you don't wanna eat now?" Her nerves were finally beginning to get to her, a light blush flushing across her cheeks as she tried to hold composure.

Claire looked up at the screen, then back to her. "How about between parts one and two? That way we aren't hungry through both parts..."

Lani: Jasmine tilted her head from side to side, mentally weighing the idea. "I think that could work." She said finally, massaging her lips between her teeth.

Claire gave her a gentle pat on the back, smiling at her. "It's been a great day..." She blushed, looking away from her. "I-I guess... I-I didn't know how much I missed seeing you..."
